With access to expertise across our regional offices, you'll benefit from the resources and opportunities of a large, multidisciplinary firm, combined with the supportive, close-knit culture of a local team. \nLocation: This role reports to the Prince George office; however, the successful candidate may be based out of any McElhanney office within British Columbia.\nWhat You’ll Do \nProvide detailed production of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for various civil projects including municipal utilities, roadworks, bridges and culverts, water and wastewater systems, and infrastructure upgrades. \nManage and coordinate projects from planning through completion, including client communication, budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination, with support from senior staff as required. \nWork from preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans, and project documentation using Civil 3D and other technical software as needed. \nCoordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, construction cost estimates, tender documents, contracts, and project deliverables. \nAssist with construction management and contract administration, including field reviews and safety leadership visits. \nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, EITs, and technical staff. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. \nWhat You’ll Bring \nDegree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with 8+ years of relevant civil design experience. \nRegistration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PEng) with EGBC or eligibility for registration in British Columbia. \nExperience coordinating and delivering engineering projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and client communication. \nExperience mentoring junior engineers, EITs, or technical staff is considered an asset. \nStrong client relationship, communication, and project coordination skills. \nProficiency with Civil 3D and related engineering software. \nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team. \nWhat Can We Offer You? \nThe salary range for this position is $95,000 to $140,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
