We’ve created a collaborative, engaging workplace where people choose to build long-term careers. \nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDevelop detailed engineering designs and drawings for civil municipal and land development projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, roadways, and site grading \nTranslate concepts, sketches, and field data into accurate plans using Civil 3D and other technical software \nPrepare documentation for permits and approvals, including design reports, cost estimates, and tender packages \nCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards \nIdentify and resolve design and field issues proactively, applying independent problem-solving \nSupport contract administration, construction coordination, and technical reviews as needed\nWhat You’ll Bring\nDiploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline \n7+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering consulting or a similar technical role \nAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential \nRegistration as an AScT (or eligibility) or other relevant technical accreditations are considered an asset \nExperience with stormwater, sanitary, water system design/modeling and construction inspection is an asset \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clients \nProject management or coordination experience, including stakeholder communication, budget tracking, and documentation to support timely and efficient project delivery \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to manage project workflows and produce high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision\nWhat Can We Offer You?\nThe salary range for this position is $71,000 – $110,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
