Surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, the community combines a high quality of life with strong economic opportunities driven by major industrial and infrastructure developments in the region. \nWhat You’ll Do\nProvide design support for various infrastructure and land development projects including municipal engineering, road works, utility, and facility upgrades. \nComplete field inspections to monitor the quality and progress of the work being performed on various infrastructure projects including municipal engineering, road works, utility and facility upgrades. \nAssist in the preparation of tender and contract documents and drawings. \nPrepare and adhere to site-specific health and safety plans. \nProvide support to other departments (geomatics, materials testing, and structural engineering) to learn about and develop a holistic approach to project execution. \nWork with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained. \nYou will be directly supervised by a professional (P.Eng.) registered in BC. \nWhat You’ll Bring\nDegree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. \n1–5 years of relevant experience. \nConstruction monitoring or field experience is an asset, but not required. \nRegistration in good standing as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered. \nProficiency in the application of AutoCAD Civil 3D. \nHigh productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment.\nWhat Can We Offer You? \nThe salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications.
