The successful candidate will play a key role in growing McElhanney's presence in the Energy & Resources market by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and leading multidisciplinary environmental projects from proposal through completion. \nYou will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to practical environmental solutions that balance regulatory requirements and project objectives. Working with industry, Indigenous Nations, private-sector, and municipal clients, you will help develop practical environmental solutions that balance ecological stewardship, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage environmental assessment, permitting, baseline studies, monitoring, and regulatory compliance projects. \nBuild and maintain relationships with energy, mining, natural resource, and industrial clients. \nIdentify opportunities, prepare proposals, and support project pursuits. \nLead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. \nOversee project scope, financial performance, risk management, and quality assurance. \nCollaborate with technical specialists and regional leaders to deliver integrated solutions. \nMentor junior and intermediate staff and contribute to team development. \nRepresent McElhanney at industry events and within professional networks.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline. \nProfessional designation such as RPBio., PGeo., PEng., PAg., or equivalent. \n10+ years of experience managing environmental projects within the energy, mining, natural resources, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. \nStrong understanding of environmental permitting and regulatory processes in Western Canada. \nExperience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary project teams. \nDemonstrated client relationship and proposal development experience. \nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. \nExperience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset.\nWhat Can We Offer You?\nThe salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
