Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).\nHiring Unit:\nAthletics and Recreation\nPosition Summary:\nUnder the director of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will be expected to perform the following duties at the Memorial pool.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nExpected to open and close pool area depending on schedule worked.\nPerform setup and take down of equipment depending on upcoming daily events or pool usage.\nMaintain constant surveillance of patrons in or around the pool.\nAct immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.\nProvides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.\nMaintain a clean and organized office, equipment room, and pool area. \nInspect first aid kits on a weekly basis to ensure supplies are adequately stocked.\nAssist with occasional administrative tasks. \n***Selected candidates must successfully pass their criminal background check in order to be considered for this position.\nOther Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities\nNLS lifeguarding certification required \nStandard First Aid C certification required \nBefore applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.\nKnowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
