Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).\nPosition Summary:\nReporting to the Multimedia Services Manager, the Multimedia Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of an audiovisual facility, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality live events that integrate multimedia production, audiovisual technology, staging, and digital content. The incumbent establishes project priorities and schedules, prepares quotations, and coordinates the delivery of projects and services to meet client and operational requirements. They organize, distribute, and verify the work of team members, serve as a resource person, resolve operational issues, provide guidance and support, and contribute to staff training. The incumbent also develops procedures and recommends improvements to enhance operational efficiency and support the delivery of exceptional in-person, hybrid, and virtual experiences.\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities:\nOversees the day-to-day operations of an audiovisual facility and coordinates the execution of multimedia projects and services involving audiovisual, graphic design, and photography functions. Establishes priorities, allocates resources, monitors progress, and ensures deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently met.\nCollaborates with internal clients and stakeholders to assess project requirements, advise on feasibility, develop time and cost estimates, and prepare quotations.\nCoordinates multimedia, staging, lighting, and audiovisual requirements for live, virtual, and hybrid events, including site visits, technical assessments, live video production, multi-camera direction, content playback, and on-screen graphics.\nOrganizes, distributes and verifies the work of others, and participates in their training.\nSets up, operates, and troubleshoots multimedia equipment including projection systems, LED screens, switchers, audio consoles, cameras, and streaming platforms.\nEnsures all technical setups meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.\nParticipates in the development and implementation of unit procedures and work methods. Makes recommendations to improve unit efficiency including recommendations on staff requirements.\nDesigns, modifies, builds, installs, tests, operates and maintains a variety of highly complex audio-visual systems.\nReviews, tests, evaluates and modifies equipment and methodology. Develops methodology. Assesses equipment needs. Coordinates the provision of equipment. Designs or fabricates specialized equipment. Oversees equipment loans.\nActs as resource person, resolves problems and instructs others.
