Ask anyone who knows us - the caliber of our people sets us apart.\nPROJECT MANAGER\nThe primary role of the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting with managing all project aspects, including the responsibilities and tasks outlined below. Other key responsibilities include mentoring and coaching Project Engineers, managing projects or portions of projects with oversight of senior staff, and fostering and building relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nConstruction Management or related degree\n2 years minimum of related experience, including experience with self-perform capabilities\nEstimating Experience\nStrong communication skills\nThorough and detail-oriented\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints\nSelf-starter and motivated\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite of tools\nPreferred:\nScheduling experience\nField experience\nOffice and Travel:\nOffice: Various jobsites and/or corporate/regional office.\nTravel: Travel may be required\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nPursuit, Preconstruction and Business Development:\nAssist pursuit team in understanding prospective projects and requirements\nResearch prospective clients\nParticipate in preconstruction meetings\nParticipate in and prepare required documentation for QA/QC page turn session\nMcGough Self-Performed Work:\nUnderstand quantity take-offs\nUnderstand warehouse equipment, rentals, small tools, services and costs\nGather information or assist in Project Assessment preparation\nAssist with creating Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for our work\nEstimating and Bidding:\nPerform quantity take-offs and assist in building estimates\nAssist with subcontractor procurement (bid solicitations, bid analysis and tabulations)\nScheduling:\nAssist with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling\nParticipate in Last Planner system\nParticipate in daily/weekly work planning\nProject Documentation:\nReview and understand all drawings and specifications\nParticipate in project document page turn reviews\nDraft and process Requests for Information (RFI)\nManage the shop drawings/submittals review process\nParticipate in BIM coordination meetings\nAssist in managing project sustainability requirements and documentation\nSubcontract Management:\nProcess subcontractor change requests\nReview subcontractor invoices\nTrack project workforce goals/vendor goals\nCost Control:\nManage distribution and pricing of project changes\nAssist in tracking labor costs\nAssist with material procurement and cost coding\nCollect and report the required information to support the Cost History Department\nParticipate in preparation and management of Project Assessment documents\nAssist with preparing Schedule of Values, Sworn Construction Statement, Invoice and other billing documents as required by our owner contractt\nProject Meetings:\nAttend all project and company safety meetings\nAttend foremen’s meetings and draft meeting minutes\nConduct and provide timely documentation for construction coordination meetings\nParticipate in start-up meetings and preparing documentation in conjunction with field staff\nAttend monthly Project Assessment and assist with documentation to management\nAttend pre-installation meetings and mock-up reviews\nSafety:\nPerform safety audits with field staff\nAttend project and company safety meetings\nParticipate in safety training\nPost-Construction:\nPerform pre-punch with an aim at providing a “zero item” punchlist\nManage the punchlist process\nAssist in preparing final as-built plans and documentation\nReview project close-out documentation for accuracy and completeness\nOther Responsibilities:\nParticipate in company business development activities (client functions, design firm open houses, conferences, etc.)\nFoster relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors\nAttend and participate in project management and other company meetings\nAttend training for personal and/or professional development\nAttend company-sponsored events\nPerform functions of Project Engineer as may be necessary for project\nSupport and follow standard of work\nParticipate in Operational Excellence Improvement events and support of the McGough Way\nWalk job-site regularly to assess progress\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
