Responsibilities include:\nAssisting in project management tasks as assigned by the project management staff\nDeveloping skills and progressively take on more responsibility\nThis position would work in various McGough industrial sectors, which include Agriculture (Biofuels, Oilseed), Power & Infrastructure, Pharma, Life Sciences and Tech.\nQualifications:\nPreferred:\nConstruction Management or related degree\nInternship, education or field experience\nOffice and Travel:\nOffice: Corporate office and various jobsites as needed.\nTravel: Flexibility for travel is desirable with ability to temporarily relocate or regularly travel to project sites in the Upper Midwest region\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nPursuit, Preconstruction and Business Development\nAssist pursuit team in understanding prospective projects and requirements\nParticipate in QA/AC page turn sessions\nMcGough Self-Performed Work\nUnderstand self-perform capabilities\nUnderstand warehouse equipment, rentals, small tools and services\nEstimating and Bidding\nPerform quantity take-offs\nAssist project team in soliciting and reviewing subcontract bids\nAssist in performing trade scope reviews\nScheduling\nAssist superintendent and project manager with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling\nLearn and understand Last Planner system\nParticipate in daily/weekly work planning\nProject Documentation\nReview all drawings and specifications\nUpload/Download electronic documents and create shortcuts\nDraft and process Requests for information (RFI)\nReview and process shop drawings/submittals\nParticipate in BIM coordination meetings\nAssist in obtaining any LEED documentation\nSubcontract Management\nAssist project team in reviewing and processing subcontractor change requests\nAssist project team in reviewing subcontractor invoices\nCost Control\nUnderstand change document types and appropriate uses (CCDs, PRs, ASIs, etc.)\nAssist superintendent in tracking labor costs\nAssist superintendent with material procurement and cost coding\nCollect and report cost history data as directed\nProject Meetings\nAttend all project and company safety meetings\nAttend foremen's meetings and draft meeting minutes\nAttend construction coordination meetings and draft meeting minutes\nParticipate in start-up meetings\nParticipate in Project Assessment meetings\nPost-Construction\nParticipate in punchlist process and monitor progress\nAssist superintendent and project manager in preparing final as-built plans and documentation\nOther Responsibilities\nParticipate in company business development activities (client functions, design firm open houses, conferences, etc.)\nEstablish relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors\nAttend and participate in project management and other company meetings\nAttend any training - personal and/or professional development - that is relevant to the position\nAttend company-sponsored events\nSupport and follow standard of work\nParticipate in Lean events and support of the McGough way\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.\nOccasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.\n*\nIn alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $82,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.\nPlease note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
