This role will lead and manage key projects from inception through deployment. This includes overseeing project resources, tasks, issues, timelines, costs, and scope. Projects may include:\nEnergy Generation Facilities\nDispatchable Energy Production Facilities\nCentral Utility Plants\nBackup Generation Plants\nDistrict Heating and Cooling Facilities\nWaste-to-Energy Plants\nWater/Wastewater Infrastructure\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nFour-year degree in Construction Management or related degree\n15+ years of related experience, including experience with self-perform capabilities\nDemonstrated experience building strong partnerships and trust with external partners, including owners, owner’s representatives, design firms, and subcontractors\nStrong collaboration and communication skills\nThorough and detail-oriented\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints\nSelf-starter and motivated with minimal supervision\nStrong computer skills, including Excel\nPreferred:\nEstimating and field experience\nScheduling experience\nOffice and Travel:\nOffice: Corporate headquarters\nTravel: Regular travel to project sites across the country as required\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nPursuit, Preconstruction and Business DevelopmentTake lead in responding to RFPs with sector team and MarketingTake lead in interview preparationTake lead in preconstruction effort including:\nMajor equipment procurement and tracking\nContract negotiations\nGMP establishment\n\nClient relationships (establish/maintain/build)\nDesign partner relationships (establish/maintain/build)\nOwner’s representative relationships (establish/maintain/build)\nLead/coordinate page turn\nIdentify and pursue leads prior to RFPs being issued; assist in acquiring new work\nVerify scope/budget/schedule are in alignment throughout preconstruction process\nPromotion of other McGough services (SP, Commercial, FM, Development, etc.)\nMcGough Self-Performed WorkUnderstand and oversee quantity take-offs and assist in estimating labor production, materials and equipmentUnderstand warehouse equipment, rentals, small tools, services and costsOversee implementation of Project Assessments preparation and projectionsScope bid materials (concrete, rebar, brick, etc.)Approve Critical Path Method schedules for our work\nEstimating and BiddingReview estimates prepared by project managers and estimatingLead estimate presentation to owner/design teamReview proposed subcontractors prior to presenting to ownerFinal review/sign subcontractors\nSchedulingLast Planner coach/championLead preconstruction scheduling effortConstruction schedule review and oversight\nProject OversightUnderstand project staffing needs and make sure proper resources are involvedReview and understand project financial condition and profitability (PACE)Assure the safety protocols are in place and adhered toRegular jobsite walks with McGough project staffUnderstand the requirements of our Owner’s contract, as well as Subcontractors\nProject Management OversightCoach/Mentor project management staffUnderstand specific training needs of staffReview and understand global project management staffing needs and available resourcesEnsure project management staff is mentoring at all levels\nPost-ConstructionEnsure cost history information is uploadedFollow up with owner on lessons learned, strengths/weaknessesEnsure internal “lessons learned” meeting is held\nOther ResponsibilitiesParticipate in company business development activities (client functions, design firm open houses, conferences, etc.)Establish relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractorsPursue new relationships with potential clients and design firmsAttend and participate in project management and other company meetingsAttend any training - personal and/or professional development - that is relevant to the positionActively participate in company-sponsored eventsPerform functions of PM I and PM II as may be necessary for project successSupport and follow standard of workParticipate in Lean events and support the McGough WayOther responsibilities as assigned\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.\nPlease note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
