Ask anyone who knows us - the caliber of our people sets us apart.\nPROJECT MANAGER\nThe primary role of the Project Manager (PM) is to lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The PM is responsible for delivering successful project outcomes by managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client relationships while supporting team development and operational excellence.\nIn addition to managing projects, the Project Manager is responsible for:Overall project success, including:\nEffective management of project financial performance and fee retention\nClient satisfaction and relationship management\n\nManaging major portions of large projects or having overall responsibility for smaller projects\nMentoring and coaching Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers\nContinuing professional development to enhance project management capabilities\nManaging scope changes, quantity takeoffs, pricing, and tracking project revisions\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field\nFive (5) or more years of construction project management experience\nExperience managing self-performed work scopes.\nPreferred:\nEstimating experience\nField operations experience\nScheduling experience\nSkills:\nDemonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and trust with owners, owner representatives, design firms, consultants, and and Business Development:\nSupport pursuit teams in understanding project requirements and opportunities\nResearch prospective clients and market opportunities\nAssist with preparation of qualifications packages, proposals, and presentations\nParticipate in client interviews and project pursuits\nParticipate in preconstruction planning meetings\nLead and manage project quality review processes\nUnderstand project-specific workforce participation goals and incorporate them into project planning\nMcGough Self-Performed Work:\nPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with labor, material, and equipment estimating\nUnderstand equipment, tool, rental, and service requirements and associated costs\nAssist in developing and maintaining project cost projections\nScope and procure materials for self-performed work\nSupport development of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for self-performed activities\nEstimating and Bidding:\nPerform quantity takeoffs and support estimate development\nMaintain estimates through design development and construction document phases\nDevelop bidder lists and verify subcontractor qualifications\nLead subcontractor procurement activities, including bid solicitations, bid analysis, and contract recommendations\nEnsure subcontract scopes are complete and aligned with project requirements\nConduct scope reviews with subcontractors and field teams prior to contract execution\nParticipate in development of preconstruction estimates and cost models\nCreate and maintain project control estimates\nScheduling:\nCollaborate with field teams to develop CPM schedules\nMonitor and update project schedules throughout construction\nSupport pull planning and collaborative scheduling efforts with project teams\nProject Documentation:\nReview and understand project drawings, specifications, and contract documents\nLead project document review processes\nManage Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate timely responses\nManage shop drawing and submittal processes\nParticipate in BIM coordination efforts as applicable\nManage project sustainability documentation requirements\nMaintain understanding of owner contracts and subcontract agreements\nSubcontract Management:\nMaintain comprehensive understanding of subcontractor scopes of work\nReview, negotiate, and process subcontractor change requests\nReview and approve subcontractor payment applications\nMonitor workforce participation and vendor engagement goals\nCoordinate staffing and resource requests with field leadership\nSchedule and document pre-installation meetings\nCost Control:\nManage project change order processes and pricing\nSupport labor cost tracking and productivity monitoring\nAssist with material procurement and cost coding\nProvide information required for historical cost tracking and reporting\nMaintain project cost forecasting and financial management tools\nPartner with project accounting to prepare monthly owner billings\nMaintain project cost control logs and reporting systems\nManage cost review and approval processes with owners and design teams\nPrepare billing documentation required by contract agreements\nProject Meetings:\nAttend and support project and company safety meetings\nParticipate in weekly planning and coordination meetings\nLead construction coordination meetings and document action items\nParticipate in project startup meetings and planning sessions\nProvide regular project performance reports to leadership\nAttend pre-installation meetings and mock-up reviews as required\nProject Closeout:\nLead punch list planning and completion efforts\nManage project closeout processes and documentation\nSupport collection and review of as-built documents and warranties\nReview closeout packages for accuracy and completeness\nCoordinate commissioning, testing, and turnover activities as required\nFacilitate owner training and transition activities\nOther Duties:\nParticipate actively in project management team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts\nSupport business development and client relationship activities\nFoster relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors\nPursue opportunities to develop new client and design partner relationships\nAttend company meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities\nParticipate in company-sponsored events and activities\nProvide support in the responsibilities of Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer when necessary\nFollow established company standards, procedures, and best practices\nParticipate in Lean construction initiatives and continuous improvement programs\nPerform other duties as
