Ask anyone who knows us - the caliber of our people sets us apart.\n*SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE*\nPROJECT MANAGER\nThe primary role of the Project Manager is to manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including the responsibilities and tasks outlined below. In addition to managing projects, the Project Manager is responsible for:\nOverall project success, including:Successful management of project financial performance, including fee retention\nClient satisfaction\n\nManaging major portions of large projects or overall responsibility for smaller projects\nMentoring and coaching Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers\nContinuing to develop project management and leadership skills\nManaging project scope changes, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and tracking revisions\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field\nFive (5) or more years of commercial or general construction project management experience\nDemonstrated experience building strong partnerships with owners, owner's representatives, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors\nPreferred:\nProven ability to successfully deliver projects while achieving financial performance goals\nExperience in estimating and field operations\nExperience developing and maintaining project schedules\nSkills:\nStrong understanding of construction risk management principles\nExcellent collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills\nStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a team\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and scheduling software\nDemonstrates integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality\nConsistently builds positive relationships through every interaction\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nPursuit, Preconstruction and Business Development\nAssist pursuit teams in understanding project opportunities and client requirements\nResearch prospective clients and project opportunities\nAssist in preparing RFQs, RFPs, and interview presentations\nParticipate in client interviews\nParticipate in preconstruction meetings\nSupport quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) review processes\nUnderstand project-specific workforce participation requirements and incorporate them into project planning\nMcGough Self-Performed Work\nUnderstand and perform quantity take-offs and assist in estimating labor production, materials and equipment\nUnderstand warehouse equipment, rentals, small tools, services and costs\nGather information, implement or assist in PACE preparation and projections\nScope bid materials (concrete, rebar, brick, etc.)\nAssist with creating Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for our work\nEstimating and Bidding\nPerform quantity take-offs and assist in estimating\nUpdate estimates throughout design development\nDevelop bidder lists and evaluate subcontractor qualifications\nManage subcontractor procurement, including bid solicitations, bid analysis, and contract recommendations\nEnsure subcontract scopes are complete and well-defined\nConduct scope reviews with subcontractors and project teams before contract execution\nReview bid results with owners and design teams as appropriate\nParticipate in development of project budgets and cost models\nDevelop and maintain project control estimates\nScheduling\nAssist field staff with creating CPM scheduling\nUpdate and distribute project schedules\nCo-lead Last Planner efforts in conjunction with field staff\nProject Documentation\nReview and understand project drawings and specifications\nLead document review processes\nManage Requests for Information (RFIs)\nManage submittals and shop drawing processes\nParticipate in BIM coordination meetings when applicable\nManage sustainability documentation as required\nUnderstand owner contracts and subcontract agreements\nSubcontract Management\nMaintain a comprehensive understanding of subcontract scopes\nReview and negotiate subcontract change requests\nReview and approve subcontractor invoices\nTrack workforce participation goals where applicable\nCoordinate manpower requests with field leadership\nSchedule and document pre-installation meetings\nCost Control\nManage project change orders and pricing\nMonitor labor and material costs with field leadership\nAssist with procurement and cost coding\nSupport cost history documentation\nMaintain project financial forecasting and PACE documentation\nCollaborate with Project Accounting on monthly pay applications\nMaintain project cost control logs\nReview project financial performance with owners and design teams\nPrepare billing documentation, including Schedule of Values, sworn statements, invoices, and supporting documentation\nProject Meetings\nAttend project and company safety meetings\nParticipate in weekly planning meetings\nLead construction coordination meetings and distribute meeting minutes\nParticipate in project startup meetings\nLead monthly financial review (PACE) meetings\nParticipate in pre-installation meetings and mock-up reviews\nPost-Construction\nCoordinate pre-punch inspections\nManage punch list completion\nSupport project closeout documentation\nReview closeout documents for completeness and accuracy\nCoordinate owner training with field teams as required\nStrategy Management\nSupport development and implementation of project management strategies\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement\nSupport development of risk management practices\nStrengthen relationships with clients and project partners.\nAdditional Duties\nParticipate as an active member of the project management team, collaborating across departments to achieve project objectives\nParticipate in business development activities, including client meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities\nBuild and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and industry partners\nAttend company meetings, project meetings, and professional development opportunities\nSupport Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers as needed\nFollow and promote McGough standard work processes\nSupport Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts through the McGough Way\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nOFFICE AND TRAVEL\nOffice: Various jobsites and/or corporate/regional office.\nTravel: Ability to travel to project locations, including extended out-of-town assignments when required.\nPHYSICAL
