This includes the pre-planning for all stages of the project (from pre to post construction). The Superintendent works diligently to meet all goals set for the specific project and manage all field operational duties.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n5-8 years of construction-related experience\nStrong verbal and written communication and leadership skills\nPositive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward thinking\nComputer literate\nDemonstrated experience initiating and driving continuous improvement\nCurrent OSHA 30 certification\nPreferred:\nTwo or four-year degree in construction related field\n5-8 years of field-related experience\nBilingual with the ability to communicate in both Spanish and English\nSkills:\nStrong collaboration and communication skills\nThorough and detail-oriented\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints\nSelf-starter and motivated with minimal supervision\nStrong computer skills\nGood verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.\nOffice and Travel:\nMust be willing to travel regularly\nVarious jobsites and regional office\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nPreconstruction & Development\nParticipate and may lead preconstruction planning, including:Crisis management planning\nSite logistics and safety plans\nSite-specific rules and regulations\nCompletion of the Redbook\n\nContribute to pursuits, proposals, and interviews, offering insights on schedule, logistics, safety, and subcontractor selection\nConduct and participate in pre-job walkthroughs\nEnsure project budgets for labor, materials, and equipment are aligned prior to project start; collaborate with Project Management to resolve issues\nAssist pursuit team in analyzing and preparing for upcoming project opportunities\nParticipate in QA/AC page-turn sessions to align expectations and execution\nConstruction\nProvide comprehensive leadership and oversight of McGough field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on active projects\nSupervise Asst. Superintendents and evaluate weekly work plans, schedules, and logistics\nImplement and maintain the project schedule; ensure timely updates in coordination with Project Management\nOversee on-site documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance (e.g., drawings, logs, inspection records)\nManage project budgets and forecasts for labor, material, and equipment, address deviations with Project Management\nAssist with procurement, subcontractor selection, RFI development, and trade scope reviews\nOversee implementation of the site-specific Quality Control plan in partnership with QC and Project Management teams\nChampion the culture of safety through leadership in orientations, safety meetings, and regulatory compliance (OSHA and others)\nLead Lean construction initiatives; guide team in Pull-Planning, standard work practices, and continuous improvement\nOrganize and lead Superintendent and coordination meetings; ensure cross-functional alignment\nTroubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, such as delays or labor disputes, minimizing impact on progress\nSupport project closeout efforts, including punch list completion, commissioning, final inspections, and owner training\nBuild and sustain strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders\nFoster collaboration and maintain alignment with company standards and values\nMcGough Self-Perform Work: Understand and integrate McGough’s self-perform capabilities, warehouse resources, small tools, and equipment rentals into project planning and execution\nEstimating & Bidding: Perform quantity take-offs and assist in bid solicitation and evaluation. Participate in trade scope reviews with estimating and project teams\nScheduling: Support Superintendents and Project Managers with CPM scheduling. Learn and apply Last Planner System principles; participate in weekly and daily planning sessions\nProject Documentation: Review all project drawings and specifications. Manage electronic document workflows and shortcuts. Draft and process RFIs; review and process submittals and shop drawings. Participate in BIM coordination and support LEED documentation when applicable.\nSubcontractor Management: Assist in processing subcontractor change requests and invoice reviews. Collaborate on performance tracking and compliance\nCost Control: Understand and apply change documentation (CCDs, PRs, ASIs, etc.). Support labor cost tracking, procurement, cost coding, and cost history reporting\nProject Meetings: Attend and participate in safety, coordination, foreman, startup, and PACE meetings.
