Ask anyone who knows us - the caliber of our people sets us apart.\nVDC PROJECT ENGINEER\nThe VDC Project Engineer supports the execution of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) activities across assigned projects. This role focuses on supporting VDC Project Managers by learning various VDC roles, maintaining VDC content and standards, and contributing to marketing and estimating efforts as assigned.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC industry experience.\nMinimum of 2 internship experiences with documentation of overall opportunities and responsibilities assigned.\nPreferred:\nStrong understanding of commercial design and construction processes\nBasic understanding of the value that BIM and VDC can provide projects.\nFamiliarity with laser scanning and application of deliverables derived from scan data.\nPart 107 certification preferred; experience using drones and associated software to support project documentation.\nExposure to 360 photo platforms and basic understanding of how they can be leveraged in construction.\nFamiliarity with programming tools such as Dynamo or Python or similar scripting languages.\nProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.\nSkills:\nBasic knowledge of construction delivery models, documentation, and sequencing.\nStrong understanding of building systems and construction workflows.\nBeginner-level experience using Revit and other BIM/VDC software.\nDemonstrates curiosity and a commitment to learning new technologies and methodologies that advance BIM, VDC, and LEAN practices.\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).\nOffice and Travel:\nThis position supports McGough's National Travel - Advanced Technology business and may be assigned to projects throughout the United States with your desired location taken into consideration.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSupport VDC Project Managers in the production of VDC deliverables for assigned projects.\nSupport VDC leaders with updating VDC content libraries and standard work documentation.\nDevelop 3D models for site logistics, phase planning, virtual mockups, and MEP coordination.\nUtilize BIM for visualization, constructability reviews, and design coordination.\nCollaborate on the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans.\nCreate 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Fuzor, and cmBuilder per project requirements.\nSupport and facilitate 3D coordination and clash detection efforts with design teams, subcontractors, and fabricators.\nProvide training and technical support to project team members on accessing and using VDC deliverables and BIM tools.\nContribute lessons learned and support continuous improvement across VDC processes.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
