This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions while working closely with software developers, application engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nAs a Software Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing verification strategies, designing automated test frameworks, and ensuring that software products meet functional, performance, and quality requirements before release. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement of our verification processes, including exploring and implementing AI-driven testing capabilities.\nFor candidates with leadership aspirations, this position offers the opportunity to influence verification practices and contribute to the development of a growing verification function.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, document, and execute comprehensive verification plans, test cases, and test procedures based on software and system requirements.\nDesign, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites covering unit, integration, regression, and system-level testing.\nEvaluate and implement AI-driven approaches to enhance test automation efficiency, coverage, and quality.\nEnsure end-to-end traceability between requirements, verification activities, and test results through well-maintained traceability matrices.\nDesign, establish, and maintain test environments, test rigs, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups where applicable.\nCollaborate closely with Software Engineering, Star Cool Application Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to define verification strategies, acceptance criteria, and release readiness requirements.\nIdentify, document, and track software defects while supporting root cause analysis and resolution activities.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within software verification processes, tools, and methodologies.\nSupport the delivery of high-quality software releases through effective risk assessment and verification reporting.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in software testing, software verification, validation, or quality assurance.\nStrong understanding of Software Verification and Validation (V&V) principles and methodologies.\nProven experience developing and executing test cases based on requirements specifications.\nHands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, Google Test, or similar tools.\nDemonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to improve automated testing solutions.\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python, C, or C++.\nExperience with source control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.\nSolid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.\nExcellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills in an international, cross-functional environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience leading or mentoring verification and testing teams.\nExperience within a regulated or safety-critical industry, such as industrial controls, refrigeration systems, automation, or embedded systems.\nFamiliarity with requirements management and traceability tools such as Ease Requirements or equivalent platforms.\nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and embedded software verification.\nISTQB Certification or equivalent testing qualification.\nExperience working with modern software quality engineering practices and test automation at scale.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Maersk, you will be part of a global organization committed to innovation, digital transformation, and engineering excellence.
