If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nBusiness Intelligence & Automation Analyst\nAbout the Role\nThe Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst will serve as a key analytics partner for an assigned business area, transforming complex business needs into scalable reporting, business intelligence, and automation solutions.\nIn this role, you will own and enhance dashboards, reporting solutions, and automated workflows that improve data accessibility, reduce manual effort, and support better business decisions. You will work with technologies including SQL, Power BI or Looker, Python, Power Automate, Google Apps Script/JavaScript, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery while partnering with business and technical stakeholders.\nThis is an individual contributor opportunity well suited for an experienced BI or analytics professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical development with business partnership and end-to-end ownership.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as the primary analytics partner for an assigned business area, developing an understanding of business processes, data sources, KPIs, and reporting needs.\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and enhance Power BI or Looker dashboards and analytical solutions.\nOwn the ongoing performance and reliability of reporting solutions, including data quality, refresh monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and enhancements.\nWrite and optimize advanced SQL in Snowflake or Google BigQuery, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and reusable data transformations.\nBuild automation and data-processing solutions using Python, Power Automate, Google Apps Script, JavaScript, and other workflow or RPA technologies.\nAutomate reporting and data ingestion from sources including Excel, Google Sheets, CSV/TXT files, APIs, and cloud data warehouses.\nApply appropriate controls, validation, exception handling, logging, monitoring, and documentation to production automation solutions.\nDeliver complex ad hoc analyses, reconciliations, cost studies, data extracts, and other decision-support analysis.\nPartner with business leaders and technology teams to define requirements, prioritize solutions, and drive adoption.\nPresent analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and provide technical guidance to other analysts.\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.\nCritical skills/experience that should be evident on the resume:\nDemonstrated experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or analytics automation.\nHands-on experience developing production dashboards with Power BI or Looker.\nAdvanced SQL experience, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and data transformation.\nHands-on experience using Python for data processing, reporting, or automation.\nExperience with workflow or process automation using Power Automate, RPA tools, Google Apps Script, JavaScript, or comparable technology.\nExperience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Google BigQuery.\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nExperience owning analytics or reporting solutions for a business or functional area.\nExperience with DAX, Power Query, LookML, ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling, semantic models, or source-to-target mapping.\nExperience automating Excel or Google Sheets reporting using Python, pandas, openpyxl, Google APIs, or related tools.\nExperience ingesting and transforming structured data from spreadsheets, flat files, APIs, and enterprise systems.\nFamiliarity with source control, deployment pipelines, workflow orchestration, job monitoring, or YAML.\nExperience with dashboard governance, documentation, lifecycle management, and data quality controls.\nExperience analyzing ERP, operational, financial, sales, or customer data.\nExperience in healthcare, distribution, finance, retail, or government-related analytics.\nRelevant certification in business intelligence, analytics, automation, or cloud data technologies.\nStrong stakeholder communication, project management, presentation, and technical mentoring skills.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
