If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nCentral Fill Pharmacy Operations Lead\nAbout the Role\nThe Central Fill Pharmacy Operations Lead serves as a subject matter expert and hands-on operational lead supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of pharmacy production and fulfillment activities.\nThis role coordinates daily workflows, supports associate training, maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitors operational performance, researches pharmacy incidents, and helps resolve day-to-day production issues. You’ll partner closely with operations leadership to ensure production goals, shipping commitments, training requirements, and applicable pharmacy procedures are consistently met.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as an operational subject matter expert, providing day-to-day guidance and support across central fill pharmacy operations.\nCreate and coordinate daily work schedules and workflow to support production goals while meeting applicable state pharmacy requirements.\nMonitor production activity, provide work direction, and help troubleshoot operational issues that could impact safety, quality, accuracy, or productivity.\nMaintain and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and help ensure operational processes are consistently followed.\nSupport the site’s training program, including required company training, operational training, and refresher training.\nResearch pharmacy incidents using operational data, records, and system information to help identify root causes and opportunities for corrective action.\nLead internal shipping activities to meet contractual pickup times and validate shipping accuracy.\nMaintain and evaluate operational trackers, records, and reporting used by management to monitor business and operational performance.\nPartner with supervisors and team members to identify workflow improvements and support efficient, consistent operations.\nBasic Requirements\nMinimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination\nTypically requires 6+ years of related experience\nExperience working in pharmacy operations, central fill, fulfillment, production, distribution, or a similarly regulated operational environment.\nExperience using operational data, reports, or production metrics to identify and resolve issues.\nExperience working with documented procedures or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nCentral fill, mail-order, specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution, or healthcare operations experience.\nExperience coordinating daily workflow or providing work direction in a high-volume production or fulfillment environment.\nExperience supporting employee training, cross-training, or refresher training programs.\nExperience conducting root-cause analysis or researching operational, quality, or pharmacy incidents.\nKnowledge of pharmacy regulations, quality standards, and regulated operating procedures.\nExperience maintaining operational trackers, KPIs, production reports, or other performance data.\nExperience with shipping, order fulfillment, production scheduling, or logistics processes.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement or process improvement initiatives.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nOn-site position supporting a central fill pharmacy operation.\nRegular interaction with pharmacy production, fulfillment, shipping, and operations teams.\nAbility to work the designated site schedule and support daily operational requirements.\nPhysical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) -\nLifting and carrying < 15lbs\nOccasional work in the warehouse (picking/packing, etc.)\nWalking warehouse floor four to six hours per day\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
