The focus of the role is to drive the sourcing and management of the generics category of products to achieve everyday market competitive cost and to ensure consistent supply. Working collaboratively with other Directors and cross functionally across ClarusONE, the Sourcing and Supplier Relations Director will be accountable for leading complex negotiations, working with the Sourcing Senior Director to support the delivery of new sourcing models as well as partner with suppliers at a senior level.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAccountable for initiating, building and maintaining relationships with US and internationally based suppliers.\nUnderstand and articulate critical concerns and sensitivities of supplier base.\nAccountable for value creation & risk mitigation actions as required.\nResponsible for the implementation of the supplier segmentation strategy and ensuring this becomes a day-to-day way of working for the supplier relationship management team.\nResponsible for testing innovative negotiation strategies in coordination with the New Sourcing Initiatives team and working with the Sr Directors of Supplier Relationship Management to roll successful strategies out to the broader team.\nConsult SRM team on supplier operational issues and any impact to member organisations.\nResponsible for driving cross functional engagement with other parts of the business to foster overall C1 goals and objectives.\nAccountable for identification & prioritisation of project opportunities and also plays a consultive role to support the SRM team with project delivery. \nAccountable for functional areas for example: Finance, Sourcing Execution, Compliance, HR etc.\nAccountable for the development of change management strategies for functional areas to become best in class.\nConsult on bid / sourcing sprint impactful decisions.\nConsult on bid and case workload issues.\nListen to, leverage, promote diverse ideas, perspectives, of others across the business\nAccountable to build diverse, high-performing teams that accomplish organisational changes and priorities.\nAccountable for the education of the team on strategic implications.\nResponsible for implementing clear role and responsibility matrixes what allow for career development within SRM, ClarusONE and/or our members.\nAccountable for the creation and fostering of open communication between team and leadership\nSeek to constantly connect and emphasize the C1 mission and strategy with the day to day activities of the team.\nBasic Requirements:\nDegree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience AND 4+ years of management experience.\nMinimum of 12 years’ experience in sourcing, finance/business analysis or product management.\nFormal training in negotiations and/or demonstrated experience.\nKnowledge of purchasing, sourcing and/or product management of product distributed within a multiple warehouse environment.\nTrack record on negotiations.\nStrong proficiency in MS Excel and/or Access with a solid background in data extraction and manipulation techniques.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree; preference for Finance, Economics, Biology or similar. Product sourcing experience in generic pharmaceuticals highly preferred.\nAdditional Skills/Experience:\nWell organised, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritise quickly.\nExcellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and internal/external customers to get results quickly - able to communicate decisions and recommendations to stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.\nHighly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage work with sense of urgency.\nAbility to effectively deliver “bad news” and manage conflict to successful resolution.\nAbility to perform in a fast-paced, results driven environment that is constantly changing.\nAbility to build and maintain long term relationships.\nWillingness and ability to attend regular after-hours events and attend 3 - 5 international industry conferences per year.\nKeen knowledge of the supplier/manufacturing landscape especially the Generics business\nProven experience and understanding of the supply chain process.\nAbility to understand, interpret and educate varying levels in the intricacies of generics sourcing.\nTrack record of value delivery.\nComfortable with ambiguity. \nPhysical Requirements:\nCandidate MUST reside within a commutable distance to London, GBR. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week (subject to more depending on business need). \nUp to 10% international travel.
