If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across McKesson’s enterprise infrastructure spanning cloud and on-premises environments. In this role, you will set the technical direction for infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and compliance with architectural standards. You will lead large-scale projects, drive innovation in automation and reliability, and act as a key escalation point for complex issues. This role partners closely with senior engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing infrastructure solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability\n\nSet technical direction for infrastructure initiatives and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices\n\nDrive and oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives\n\nOwn network capacity planning, including optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency\n\nServe as escalation point for critical incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across infrastructure environments\n\nDrive innovation through infrastructure automation, orchestration, and reliability engineering practices\n\nDevelop and enforce governance frameworks for SLAs, OLAs, and security/compliance requirements\n\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure capabilities\n\nOther duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals\n\nMinimum Requirements\nDegree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience\n\n10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including enterprise-scale system design and implementation\n\nHands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in hybrid or multi-cloud environments\n\nStrong experience with network engineering concepts including BGP, routing protocols, and network design\n\nProven experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) for infrastructure deployment\n\nDeep experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)\n\nExperience managing enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization\n\nProven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects and serve as escalation point for complex issues\n\nExperience working with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks\n\nPreferred Skills / Experience\nExperience in healthcare or other regulated industries\n\nStrong leadership and stakeholder influence skills across cross-functional technical teams\n\nExperience implementing DevOps and SRE practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency\n\nWork Model / Physical Requirements\nWe are Flex and Connect with 2 days a week in office\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
