In this role, you’ll lead a team of seven while helping shape how we onboard and train employees, strengthen processes, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a culture of quality and compliance.\nIf you enjoy identifying opportunities to make things better and then turning those ideas into sustainable improvements, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both our people and our operation.\nPosition Summary\nThe Operational Excellence leader is responsible for supervising a team of seven employees who support operational excellence, training, onboarding, quality, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement and process consistency by leading internal quality audits, establishing and improving standard operating processes, and supporting best practices that enhance customer satisfaction and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.\nA key focus of the role will be leading and continuously improving the onboarding and training program for new hires while implementing ongoing development and process improvement initiatives for the existing team. You will also oversee trainers who support both new-hire onboarding and continuous training efforts.\nAdditional responsibilities include ensuring all applicable state licenses remain accurate and current and that the facility is prepared at all times for regulatory and compliance audits.\nTeam Leadership: Leads a team of 7.\nWork Schedule\nThis position follows an early-morning schedule, primarily Monday through Friday, beginning at 4:00 a.m. and generally ending by 2:00 p.m., with some days concluding earlier based on business needs.\nWeekend work is not common; however, occasional weekend availability may be required based on business needs.\nCompensation\nBase Salary: $110,000 annually\nAnnual Manager Incentive Plan: Target incentive of 15% of annual base salary\nLong-Term Incentive: Eligible to participate in the company's Long-Term Incentive program\nKey Responsibilities\nManagement Scope\nEnhance customer satisfaction through investigation of concerns to determine root cause and communicate findings, corrective actions, and preventative actions through Operational Excellence Reports and Corrective Action Reports.\nConduct presentations of factual information related to department goals and schedules, including Temperature Monitoring, CIP Documentation, and Operational Excellence program rollouts.\nProvide support for maintaining compliance with government requirements, including FDA and OSHA, as well as McKesson safety, security, and regulatory assessments.\nManagement Impact\nDecisions will impact the direct workgroup, and failure to achieve objectives may affect the medium-term goals and deadlines of the department.\nFor Infusion/Medical businesses, decisions or erroneous actions can moderately or significantly affect a patient's well-being or minimally affect the well-being of multiple patients.\nJob Complexity\nDecisions and problem-solving are generally guided by policies, procedures, and business plans. The leader receives general guidance and oversight from their manager in the form of work objectives but typically leads independently.\nInteracts daily with direct reports and/or functional peer groups.\nInteraction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information.\nCommunicates departmental goals to the workgroup.\nWithin the Sales function, supports employees with customer relations issues and key negotiations.\nMinimum Requirements\n9+ years of professional experience \n1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience\nPreferred Critical Skills\nPeople Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated experience directly leading, coaching, and developing employees in an operational environment.\nContinuous Improvement / Operational Excellence: Hands-on experience identifying process gaps, implementing improvements, and driving consistency through standardized processes.\nTraining & Onboarding Leadership: Experience developing, leading, or improving employee onboarding and ongoing training programs.\nQuality, Regulatory & Compliance: Experience supporting internal audits, regulatory requirements, corrective actions, and maintaining audit readiness.\nRoot Cause Analysis & Corrective Action: Demonstrated ability to investigate operational or customer concerns, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.\nAdditional Knowledge & Preferred Skills\nBusiness analytics and change implementation experience\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nLean or Six Sigma certification\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
