Our Distribution Center teams play a critical role in ensuring healthcare products reach customers safely, accurately, and on time.\nRole Overview\nThe Operations Supervisor - Night Shift is responsible for leading and directing all night-shift operations within McKesson's Conroe Distribution Center. This role oversees a team of approximately 20-25 associates and is responsible for driving safety, productivity, quality, employee engagement, and operational performance across warehouse and distribution activities. The successful candidate will serve as a hands-on leader, spending the majority of their shift on the warehouse floor coaching associates, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring service and performance expectations are consistently achieved. The Operations Supervisor partners closely with warehouse leadership, operations teams, transportation, inventory control, and support functions to drive operational excellence while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.\nLocation: Conroe, TX (Onsite)\nCompensation: Target salary range of $72,000-$75,000 plus quarterly management bonus opportunity.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Employee Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20-25 warehouse associates on the night shift. \nProvide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and development opportunities.\nConduct performance evaluations and assist with corrective action and disciplinary processes when necessary.\nSupport employee engagement, retention, and team-building initiatives.\nFoster a safe, inclusive, and accountability-driven culture.\nDistribution Center Operations\nOversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.\nMonitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure service levels and productivity goals are achieved.\nEnsure accurate execution of operational processes and company standards.\nCoordinate shift start-up activities, labor planning, staffing adjustments, and end-of-shift reporting.\nMaintain operational continuity and communication across shifts.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.\nConduct safety discussions, observations, and shift meetings.\nEnsure quality standards are consistently maintained throughout warehouse operations.\nInvestigate and address operational issues, safety concerns, and process discrepancies.\nSupport compliance with company operational and regulatory requirements.\nOperational Performance & Process Improvement\nMonitor departmental KPIs and operational metrics.\nAnalyze reports and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nAllocate labor, equipment, and resources effectively to maximize productivity.\nIdentify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and associate engagement.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with peer supervisors and leadership teams to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. \nCommunicate operational updates, staffing concerns, and performance results to leadership.\nCollaborate with inventory control, transportation, maintenance, and warehouse support teams to resolve operational challenges.\nSupport site-wide initiatives and operational objectives.\nMinimum Requirement\nTypically has 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities. .\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\nCritical Skills\n3+ years of experience leading frontline teams in a warehouse, distribution, production, manufacturing, or logistics environment. \nExperience managing employee performance, productivity, and operational KPIs.\nStrong coaching, mentoring, and employee development capabilities. [\nAbility to lead teams through operational challenges while maintaining employee engagement.\nExperience working within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.\nKnowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.\nWorking knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse best practices.\nSpecialized Knowledge & Skills\nDemonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with frontline associates.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to balance operational execution with employee development and retention. \nExperience driving accountability while maintaining a positive leadership approach.\nAbility to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities in a dynamic environment.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nComfortable spending the majority of the workday on the warehouse floor supporting associates and operations. \nExperience leading diverse teams and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.\nPharmaceutical distribution experience is helpful but not required; leaders from manufacturing, production, retail distribution, and other large-scale distribution environments are encouraged to apply. \nAbility to work evening and overnight schedules in a fully onsite leadership role. \nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe ideal candidate is a people-first leader who enjoys coaching associates, developing talent, and creating a positive work environment while achieving operational goals.
