If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nThis is a contract position for 1 year with the possibility of extension.\nLocation: 10931 177th Street, Edmonton, AB\nShift - Sunday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm.\nJob Summary\nThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring optimum performance of warehouse shift(s) operations under the direction of the Distribution Centre Director of Operations.\nSection A - Specific Responsibilities\nDuties generally include, but are not limited to the following:\nEnsures products are efficiently verified, processed and delivered to customers.\nEnsures vehicles, machinery, buildings and property are maintained and preventative maintenance is conducted.\nControls inventory: monitors the daily shorts to inventory to ensure accuracy.\nEnsures that Distribution Centre security standards are being followed.\nEnsures Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained and enforced as per Health Canada regulations.\nCoordinate with Quality Site Specialist to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to.\nEnsures Occupational Health and Safety guideline and regulations are followed within the workplace.\nAnalyzes operating and delivery procedures, systems and schedules and all other distribution centre activities to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost savings. Recommends changes to the Distribution Manager. May implement approved changes.\nEnsures responsibilities are defined and assigned to employees so as to maximize efficiency and productivity.\nAdministers policies and practices related to employee relations in conjunction with the Distribution Centre and Human Resources.\nCommunicates the company’s progress and general direction to distribution centre employees. \nPlans the activities of his/her staff; assesses results and takes appropriate measure to improve performance.\nDetermines the human resources required carrying out work; delegating responsibilities and appropriate authority to his/her staff; recommends structural changes when necessary.\nDirects activities of staff and coordinates with other group and departments.\nTrains employees (may include SOP’s); evaluates their performance; encourages and assists them with their development.\nProtects income and assets of the company against loss and waste.\nEnsures that company policies are respected.\nMaintains appropriate communications with all levels of the organization.\nAdhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Standards and regulations implemented by Health Canada.\nSection B - Position Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field\nExperience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or regulated distribution environments\nExperience with employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution\nStrong organization and tactical planning skills\nExperience managing operational KPIs and performance metrics\nAbility to take initiative, strong work ethic, and behave with a sense of urgency\nDemonstrated change management, problem solving & decision-making capabilities\nExperience supporting organizational change and process improvement programs\nOvertime and schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs.\n#LI-JT2\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
