If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nOperations Supervisor, Distribution Center\nAbout the Role\nThe Operations Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the day-to-day operations of a distribution center team, with a primary focus on receiving and inbound operations. You will lead employees to safely and accurately receive, inspect, stage, and move healthcare products while meeting expectations for quality, service, productivity, and cost.\nThis role plans daily work, assigns labour, monitors operational KPIs, coaches employees, and resolves issues that could affect product flow or customer service. You will also partner with other supervisors and departments to support efficient operations across receiving, inventory, outbound, narcotics, and other warehouse functions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead, coach, and supervise employees to achieve safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost expectations.\nPlan daily warehouse activities, assign labour, and adjust resources based on inbound volume and operational priorities.\nOversee receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, staging, receiving accuracy, product integrity, and inbound workflow.\nEnsure products are promptly moved to appropriate temperature-controlled, restricted, or designated storage areas.\nMonitor operational KPIs and employee performance, identify barriers, and take action to improve results.\nCoach and develop employees, recognize performance, and address performance concerns as appropriate.\nEnsure team members are properly trained and follow standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safe work practices.\nInvestigate and escalate receiving discrepancies, product damage, temperature concerns, and other operational risks.\nCoordinate importation requirements, product releases, receiving documentation, and related operational reporting.\nPartner with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to maintain efficient site-wide product flow.\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of new employees.\nIdentify and support continuous improvement opportunities that strengthen safety, quality, productivity, and service.\nServe as Site Security Officer and support site security requirements, controls, and follow-up.\nServe as Health and Safety Lead, supporting inspections, investigations, corrective actions, and employee safety awareness.\nAct as Quality Person in Charge (QPIC) and/or Alternate Quality Person in Charge (AQPIC), as applicable, and support compliance with applicable Canadian requirements for controlled substances.\nMaintain the security of narcotics vaults, cages, and other controlled-access areas.\nBasic Requirements\n3+ years of relevant distribution center, warehouse, receiving, logistics, or related operational experience, including demonstrated leadership capabilities.\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nPrevious experience leading or supervising employees in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.\nExperience with receiving, shipping, inventory control, material handling, or warehouse operations.\nExperience working in a regulated, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or quality-controlled distribution environment.\nExperience monitoring warehouse KPIs, productivity, accuracy, quality, and service metrics.\nExperience with warehouse management systems, inventory systems, computers, and warehouse automation.\nForklift, reach truck, order picker, or other powered industrial equipment experience.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and process compliance.\nStrong coaching, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to adapt priorities based on changing volume and operational requirements.\nExperience identifying or implementing continuous improvement opportunities.\nExperience supporting workplace health and safety programs.\nFamiliarity with controlled substances, regulated products, site security, or QPIC/AQPIC responsibilities is an asset.\nIn-Office / Physical Requirements\nThis is an on-site distribution center position.\nMust be able to work the assigned shift and adjust hours when operational needs require.\nRegularly works in an active warehouse environment and may spend extended periods standing or walking.\nMust be able to bend, reach, stretch, carry, and perform other physical activities required in a distribution environment.\nMust be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs. independently, with heavier items handled through team-lifting practices.\nA clear CPIC check may be required based on position and site requirements.\n\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
