Working closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams, you will coordinate prescription processing, patient scheduling, billing, medication dispensing, and delivery logistics while providing exceptional customer service.\nThis role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented pharmacy professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about supporting patient care.\nWhat You'll Do\nProcess and bill prescriptions using pharmacy management software while ensuring accuracy and compliance.\nCoordinate medication dispensing, shipping, and delivery scheduling to ensure patients receive treatment on time.\nCreate and maintain patient records and documentation within pharmacy systems.\nManage appointment schedules, clinic calendars, and medication delivery timelines.\nLiaise with insurance providers, physicians, and healthcare teams to obtain coverage approvals and resolve reimbursement issues.\nInvestigate and resolve third-party billing issues for specialty and high-cost medications.\nConduct follow-up calls with patients regarding outstanding accounts and administrative matters.\nMaintain inventory records and support inventory reconciliation activities.\nEnsure adherence to pharmacy regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.\nBuild strong working relationships with healthcare professionals, reimbursement coordinators, infusion coordinators, and payers.\nAccurately complete data entry and documentation related to prescription processing and patient services.\nDeliver exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare partners through phone and email interactions.\nBasic Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3+ years of pharmacy experience in a retail, specialty, or healthcare setting.\nExperience processing prescriptions and working with pharmacy software.\nExperience coordinating insurance coverage or third-party billing activities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nExperience in specialty pharmacy.\nKnowledge of Trillium and provincial drug reimbursement programs.\nFamiliarity with private and public drug insurance plans.\nExperience handling high-cost specialty medications.\nKnowledge of medication dispensing workflows and pharmacy operations.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.\nExperience supporting inventory management and reconciliation processes.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nOn-site position.\nRequires extended periods of computer work and data entry.\nFrequent communication via phone and email with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic healthcare environment.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
