If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nThe Principal M&A Analyst Enterprise Applications is responsible for the assessment, planning and execution of enterprise application initiatives supporting technology due diligence, integration planning, and integration cost estimation activities for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business initiatives.\nReporting to the VP, MT M&A this role serves as the primary Enterprise Applications representative within M&A transactions and partners closely with Enterprise Applications Service Area leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Business Unit IT teams, and acts as a trusted advisor to Corporate Development stakeholders to evaluate application landscapes, identify integration requirements and strategy, assess risks, and develop cost estimates.\nThe role requires broad knowledge of enterprise application architectures, business process alignment, data migration considerations, integration patterns, and large-scale SaaS implementation and transformation programs.\nThe successful candidate will be comfortable operating in highly dynamic and ambiguous environments, translating incomplete information into practical recommendations and estimates that support executive decision-making and deal value realization. The role requires a high degree of discretion, as it will be privy to non-public information that must not be disclosed to tower leaders, while still engaging them for high-level input to inform planning.\nWhat You'll Do\nM&A Due Diligence & Application Assessment\nLead enterprise application due diligence activities for acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions.\nAssess target application portfolios, architecture, integrations, business process alignment, and technology dependencies.\nEvaluate application complexity, technical debt, support models, licensing considerations, vendor dependencies, and integration risks.\nIdentify application rationalization, consolidation, modernization, and synergy opportunities.\nDocument findings and recommendations for inclusion in due diligence reports and executive readouts.\nIntegration Strategy & Planning\nDevelop high level application integration and migration strategies aligned to business objectives and enterprise standards.\nDefine target-state application approaches for acquired organizations.\nSupport development of Day 1, Employee Day 1, and Initial Integration plans.\nFacilitate discovery and planning workshops with business stakeholders, application owners, architects, and service area SMEs.\nDevelop transition roadmaps, implementation sequencing, and dependency management plans.\nCost Modeling & Financial Analysis\nDevelop application integration cost estimates and financial models to support transaction evaluations and integration planning.\nBuild cost estimates for:Microsoft 365 tenant migrations\nWorkday implementations and tenant consolidation\nSAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA migrations\nCRM transitions\nData migration and application decommissioning activities\nIntegration platform and middleware implementations\n\nCollaborate with service area SMEs, vendors, and implementation partners to develop realistic estimates, assumptions, timelines, and resource requirements.\nDocument risks, dependencies, confidence levels, and alternative implementation scenarios.\nEnterprise Applications Domain Leadership\nProvide expertise across enterprise application architectures and integration patterns.\nDemonstrate broad understanding of:ERP platforms (SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA)\nProductivity and Collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365)\nHCM and HRIS systems (Workday)\nITSM platforms (ServiceNow)\nCRM platforms (Salesforce)\nContact Center solutions (Five 9s)\nMiddleware and integration technologies\nIdentity and access integrations\nData migration and master data management concepts\n\nAssess application interoperability, data dependencies, and impacts to business operations.\nPartner with Enterprise Architecture to align integration strategies with technology standards and future-state roadmaps.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nIdentify and engage the appropriate application teams, architects, business analysts, product owners, and SMEs required for each transaction.\nCoordinate activities across Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Unit organizations.\nFacilitate decision-making and alignment on integration assumptions, migration strategies, timelines, and resource requirements.\nBuild strong relationships across matrixed teams to drive successful transaction outcomes.\nDelivery Excellence\nManage multiple concurrent diligence while balancing competing priorities and aggressive timelines.\nEnsure quality, consistency, and completeness of application-related deliverables.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of M&A delivery methodologies, application assessment frameworks, integration planning templates, and estimation models.\nContinuously improve playbooks and processes for Due Diligence, identifying and incorporating lessons learned and best practices to improve future transaction outcomes.\nBasic Requirements\n13+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in Enterprise Applications, ERP platforms, Solution Architecture, Digital Transformation, or IT Program Delivery.\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience conducting technology due diligence and technology risk assessments for mergers and acquisitions.\nExperience presenting complex technology recommendations, cost models and business impacts to senior executives.\nDemonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in complex enterprise environments.\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nMBA or other advanced degree.\nExperience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, distribution, supply chain, or other highly regulated industries.\nExperience evaluating cloud environments, data platforms, cybersecurity controls, and digital transformation initiatives during M&A transactions.\nKnowledge of financial modeling, synergy planning, valuation support, and business case development.\nExpertise in portfolio optimization, demand management, and strategic investment planning.\nExperience with enterprise portfolio management tools and data-driven decision-making frameworks.\nStrong change management and organizational transformation experience.\nExperience leading global or multi-business-unit integrations.\nBroad
