If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nPosition Summary (Purpose of job):\nPublic Key Infrastructure (PKI) Operations Engineer\nWe are seeking a skilled Public Key Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Enterprise Digital Certificate Management team. This role is critical to maintaining the security and reliability of our certificate lifecycle management systems.\nYou will be responsible for days to day PKI operations handling certificates requests, revocations, resolving incidents and participating in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of our PKI Services.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperational Support & Request Fulfillment:\nExecute certificate issuance, renewal, revocations, and key recovery operations according to establish procedures.\nManage certificate lifecycle activities including monitoring expirations dates and coordinating renewals\nPerform routine health checks and monitoring of PKI infrastructure components\n\nIncident Management & Problem Resolutions:\nRespond to and resolve PKI-related incidents within defined SLA timeframes\nTroubleshoot certificate validations failures trust chain issues, and enrollment problems\nInvestigate and resolve alerts from PKI monitoring systems\nCoordinate with applications teams to resolve certificate-related service disruptions\nDocument incident root cases and implement preventive measures\n\nOn-call & Shift Operations (Shift allowance applies)\nParticipate in rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support coverage\nWork assigned shifts to ensure continues operational support\nRespond to critical incidents during off-hours with appropriate urgency\n\nCompliance & Documentation:\nEnsure PKI operations comply with internal policies, Certificate practices statements and industry standards\nMaintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks and standard operation procedures\nSupport internal and external audit activities related to PKI operations\nTrack and report on Operational metrics and KPIs\n\nTechnical Skills:\n3 -5 years of hands-on experience with PKI technologies and certificate management\nStrong understanding of X.509 Certificates certificate authorities and trust hierarchies \nProficiency with PKI platforms (Microsoft ADCS, DigiCert, GlobalSign..etc)\nExperience with certificate enrollment protocols (SCEP,CMPv2, ACME)\nFamiliarity with HSMs and their operational management\nUnderstanding of certificate revocation mechanisms (CRL, OCSP)\nBasic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python or bash) for automation task\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Logic Monitor, Grafana)\n\nProfessional Experience:\nDemonstrated experience in IT Operations or security operations environments\nTrack record of working in shift-based or on-call rotations models\nExperience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management, etc)\nProven ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure\n\nAt McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people.
