If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nThe Release Train Engineer (RTE) is the servant leader and facilitator for the Agile Release Train (ART), responsible for enabling successful delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives. The role drives program execution, aligns teams to enterprise priorities, manages dependencies, risks, and governance, and promotes continuous improvement to accelerate value delivery across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and facilitate ART ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.\n\nDrive execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives and transformation goals.\n\nEnsure alignment between portfolio priorities, roadmaps, capacity, and delivery execution.\n\nProactively manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments, escalating where necessary to maintain delivery commitments.\n\nProvide executive-ready reporting and insights on program health, PI objectives, delivery predictability, capacity, risks, and value realization.\n\nPartner with Product Management, Architecture, Portfolio Management, Business Leaders, and Delivery Teams to ensure alignment and transparency.\n\nFoster Lean-Agile practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the ART.\n\nEnable adoption and optimization of delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and Power BI.\n\nSupport enterprise transformation efforts through Agile coaching, change enablement, and organizational alignment.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.\n\n12+ years of experience in Program Management, Agile Delivery, Enterprise Transformation, or related leadership roles.\n\n4+ years of people management experience.\n\nLeadership experience, managing teams of Scrum Masters and Outside Service Workers.\n\nExperience building, developing, and retaining high performing teams in Agile delivery.\n\n5+ years supporting Agile Release Trains or large-scale Agile delivery organizations.\n\nStrong knowledge of SAFe, Lean-Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.\n\nProven experience managing large-scale programs, cross-functional dependencies, risks, and stakeholder relationships.\n\nExperience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI, and enterprise delivery reporting tools.\n\nStrong facilitation, communication, analytical, and executive stakeholder management skills.\n\nSAFe RTE, SPC 5.5 or higher and PMP required.\n\nSuccess Measures\nSuccess in this role is demonstrated by:\nConsistent achievement of PI objectives and predictable delivery outcomes.\n\nEffective management and resolution of dependencies, risks, and program impediments.\n\nStrong alignment between enterprise strategy, portfolio priorities, and execution.\n\nHigh-quality executive reporting that enables informed decision-making.\n\nMeasurable improvements in delivery flow, quality, efficiency, and value realization.\n\nEstablishment of a high-performing Agile culture that supports enterprise transformation and continuous improvement.\n\nAbout MMS\nMcKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS), which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027, is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of the McKesson Corporation.
