This role is heavily focused on application support, production stability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.\nThe ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across multiple environments. You will work closely with Development, QA, Database, and SRE teams to support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), production operations, and release management.\nThis role requires strong experience in production support, incident management, and proactive monitoring, along with a clear understanding of the criticality of healthcare production systems and requires working in a rotating 24x5 support model, with quarterly shift rotations and periodic primary/secondary on-call responsibilities, including weekend coverage.\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication & Production SupportProvide L2/L3 support for applications running in Azure AKS Kubernetes clusters.\nActively monitor production systems using Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and other observability tools.\nHandle on-call support, respond to incidents, perform troubleshooting, and drive root cause analysis (RCA).\nEnsure system stability, performance, and quick resolution of production issues.\n\nCI/CD & Release ManagementDesign, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ARGO CD.\nSupport release deployments across environments (DEV, QA, PROD).\nCollaborate with teams to improve release cycles, deployment reliability, and rollback strategies.\nEnsure smooth coordination during releases with Dev, QA, and DB teams.\n\nCloud & Platform OperationsManage and support Azure cloud infrastructure, including AKS, networking, and storage.\nWork with Kubernetes (AKS) for application deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.\nSupport service mesh (Istio) configurations and traffic management.\n\n Automation & InfrastructureImplement automation using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, terraform,) to improve operational efficiency.\nSupport Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices where applicable.\nAutomating repetitive task through Agentic AI\n\nMonitoring, Logging & SecurityUtilize tools like Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and logging platforms to ensure observability.\nIntegrate and support security and code quality tools such as Wiz CLI and SonarQube.\nProactively identify potential risks and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.\n\nCross-Team CollaborationWork closely with Development, QA, Database, and SRE teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.\nSupport troubleshooting across application layers including APIs, services, and databases.\nParticipate in troubleshooting war rooms and critical incident calls.\n\nServiceNow & Operational ExcellenceManage and track incidents, changes, and service requests using ServiceNow.\nEnsure proper documentation, ticket updates, and adherence to SLA/OLA expectations.\nContribute to runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.\n\nContinuous Improvement & MentorshipMentor junior engineers and improve overall DevOps and operational practices.\nIdentify automation and optimization opportunities to reduce manual effort.\nDrive adoption of DevOps best practices with a focus on reliability and supportability.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or application support roles.\nStrong experience in production support and incident management.\nHands-on experience with: CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps\n Cloud: Azure (preferred)\n Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), HELM Charts\nService Mesh: Istio\nMonitoring: Dynatrace, Azure Monitor\nSecurity/Quality Tools: Wiz CLI, SonarQube\n ITSM: ServiceNow\n\nStrong scripting skills (Python, Bash).\nExperience supporting full SDLC, releases, and multi-environment deployments.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, infrastructure, and databases.\nStrong understanding of production criticality, uptime requirements, and healthcare systems sensitivity.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.\nWillingness to participate in on-call rotation and support critical systems.\nMcKesson has become aware of online recruiting-related scams in which individuals who are not affiliated with or authorized by McKesson are using McKesson’s (or affiliated entities, like CoverMyMeds or RxCrossroads) name in fraudulent emails, job postings or social media messages.
