This leader will drive the evolution of scalable, secure, and cost-effective platform services that enable analytics, data engineering, machine learning, and AI capabilities across the organization.\nYou will partner with engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, and business teams to modernize cloud platforms, establish governance standards, and build high-performing teams that deliver measurable business outcomes. This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, operational excellence, and strategic planning within a highly collaborative environment.\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead enterprise cloud data platform strategy, roadmap development, and service delivery execution.\n\nManage managers, engineers, and platform teams responsible for platform reliability, governance, and operational excellence.\n\nDrive modernization initiatives supporting Azure-based data, analytics, AI, and machine learning platforms.\n\nEstablish platform governance, security controls, compliance standards, and operational guardrails.\n\nOversee service performance, KPIs, SLAs, capacity planning, risk management, and executive reporting.\n\nChampion automation, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, and continuous improvement practices.\n\nPartner with business, technology, security, and AI stakeholders to enable platform adoption and innovation.\n\nManage technology investments, vendor relationships, budgets, and resource planning while delivering scalable and cost-effective platform services.\n\nBasic Requirements:\nRequires a degree or equivalent experience, 9+ years of professional experience, and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.\n\nHands-on experience supporting enterprise cloud platforms in Azure or comparable cloud environments.\n\nExperience with Azure Databricks administration, governance, monitoring, security, and operational support.\n\nExperience leading platform operations for business-critical data, analytics, or AI solutions.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, compliance, and governance frameworks.\n\nProven experience managing service performance, incident management, operational excellence, and stakeholder communications.\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.\n\nPreferred Skills/Experience:\nExperience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Azure Networking, Azure Key Vault, Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, and Microsoft Entra ID.\n\nExperience implementing Terraform or Infrastructure as Code solutions.\n\nExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices.\n\nKnowledge of AI platform governance, AI Gateway capabilities, responsible AI practices, and model operationalization.\n\nExperience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Atlan, Alation, or similar solutions.\n\nExperience supporting highly regulated industries, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain environments.\n\nIndustry certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, Databricks Platform Administrator, or FinOps Practitioner.\n\nDemonstrated success driving platform modernization, automation, and organizational transformation.\n\nAt McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people.
