This role is for an engineer who can independently own technical outcomes, contribute to design authority and architecture reviews, and raise quality through sound engineering, code review and disciplined delivery.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign and develop solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Apex, Lightning Web Components and Flow.\n\nOwn features from requirements and technical design through build, testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.\n\nDevelop secure integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, events and asynchronous processing patterns.\n\nCreate maintainable data models, automation and custom code that respect Salesforce limits and enterprise standards.\n\nParticipate in architecture and design reviews and explain implementation trade-offs and risks.\n\nPerform code and configuration reviews and improve automated testing, reuse, readability and maintainability.\n\nUse DevOps, source control, CI/CD, environment management and release controls for reliable delivery.\n\nTroubleshoot complex production issues across Salesforce, integrations, data and automation and implement sustainable fixes.\n\nFirst Six-Month Priorities:\nLearn the platform landscape, engineering standards, release model and critical business processes. Take independent ownership of a meaningful feature or integration from design through production. Strengthen automated testing, code review and deployment quality in the assigned delivery stream. Identify and remediate a material performance, reliability, security or maintainability issue. Contribute reusable components, documentation and technical guidance for the broader engineering team.\nRequired Qualifications:\n7+ years in software engineering, Salesforce development or enterprise application delivery.\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flow and Salesforce platform limits.\n\nExperience with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud; practical CPQ experience is valuable.\n\nExperience building or supporting integrations using APIs, MuleSoft or comparable middleware.\n\nExperience with Salesforce security, permission sets, sharing, data access and secure coding practices.\n\nExperience with Git/source control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployments and Agile delivery.\n\nAbility to independently troubleshoot complex issues and communicate clearly with architecture, product and business partners.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSalesforce Platform Developer I required or equivalent demonstrated depth; Platform Developer II valued.\n\nAdministrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ or integration credentials.\n\nExperience with enterprise design reviews, architecture review boards and design authority practices.\n\nExperience in regulated, healthcare or high-availability enterprise environments.\n\nAt McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people.
