This role combines advanced software engineering, ServiceNow platform expertise, intelligent automation, and cloud-native development to implement secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. You will work closely with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams to build AI-enabled workflows, modern integrations, and automation capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and deploy enterprise-scale ServiceNow and AI-powered solutions.\nDevelop intelligent workflows using AI Agents, Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and automation capabilities.\nBuild and maintain REST APIs, integrations, and reusable platform services.\nTranslate solution designs into secure, scalable, production-ready implementations.\nDrive cloud-native, API-first, and automation-focused engineering practices.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, platform reliability, and operational excellence.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions.\nMentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and innovation initiatives.\nBasic Requirements\n7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, enterprise platforms, or automation technologies.\n4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.\nExperience developing enterprise applications using JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, APIs, and integration technologies.\nExperience implementing AI-enabled, automation, workflow, or intelligent platform solutions.\nExperience building and supporting REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.\nExperience working in Agile software development environments.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nExperience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Agents, and AI workflow orchestration.\nExperience with Now Assist, AI Agent Studio, Predictive Intelligence, Workflow Data Fabric, or Virtual Agent.\nExperience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, enterprise AI platforms, or large language models (LLMs).\nKnowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and conversational AI.\nExperience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.\nExperience in healthcare, regulated industries, or large enterprise environments.\nServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS, or AI-related certifications.\nExperience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural decisions.\nTravel, Work Location & Physical Requirements\nPrimarily remote or hybrid work environment based on business needs.\nOccasional travel for team collaboration, planning activities, or stakeholder engagement.\nAbility to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in virtual meeting\nWorking Conditions:\nIn office requirement, we are Flex and Connect with 2 days a week in office\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
