Through project-based work across key business initiatives, you will gain hands-on experience developing and testing software solutions, including responsible applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.\nYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build a professional network, and strengthen the technical and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in a dynamic and growing business.\nUndergraduate Intern Program Details:\nPaid Internship\nFull-time work \nPosition is located in Irving TX, Columbus OH, & Pittsburgh PA\nNo company sponsored housing, relocation, visa sponsorship or Green Card assistance available\nThe intern will be assigned a project-focused opportunity aligned with a current priority within the McKesson Pharmacy Systems Engineering team. The work may include designing, developing, testing, or evaluating software and AI-enabled capabilities that improve engineering productivity, operational workflows, or user experiences. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply software engineering, data, and responsible AI practices in a dynamic and growing business.\nThe internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance, coaching, and fun activities!\nQualifications:\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible.\n3.0 minimum GPA.\nMust be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program applicable to Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field and entering your Junior or Senior year.\nCoding experience in JavaScript, Python, or another programming or scripting language.\nUnderstanding of relational databases, SQL queries, data structures, and software development fundamentals.\nADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:\nWillingness to learn, develop, and contribute in an agile development environment.\nExperience with using AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality and engineering efficiency coursework, projects, or hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, or natural language processing.\nEnergetic and curious self-starter who brings interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving to the team.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
