This role will support the design, development, implementation, enhancement, and operational support of secure, reliable, and scalable customer-facing portal solutions.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, UX designers, internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality digital experiences using Liferay and modern full-stack technologies.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Delivery and Solution Development\nDesign, develop, configure, test, and implement customer portal solutions using Liferay DXP.\nDevelop full-stack capabilities across user interfaces, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data layers.\nBuild and maintain Liferay modules, reusable components, portlets, workflows, themes, and content capabilities.\nDevelop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences using modern front-end technologies.\nCollaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into technical designs and working solutions.\nParticipate in technical design reviews, estimation, development planning, testing, deployment, and go-live activities.\nCreate and maintain technical specifications, interface documentation, deployment notes, and operational handoff materials.\nIntegration, Security and Platform Development\nDevelop and maintain secure REST APIs and integrations with enterprise applications, identity services, and external platforms.\nSupport authentication and authorization capabilities, including SSO, MFA, OAuth, and role-based access.\nContribute to platform upgrades, modernization, performance improvements, scalability, and technical debt reduction.\nApply secure coding, privacy, accessibility, and enterprise architecture standards throughout solution delivery.\nOperational Support and Continuous Improvement\nProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production Customer Portal issues.\nInvestigate and resolve application defects, integration failures, performance issues, and customer-reported problems.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve stability and reduce recurring issues.\nSupport monitoring, incident management, problem management, change management, and release activities as required.\nContribute to development standards, code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.\nUse approved AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting activities.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise web applications.\nStrong hands-on experience developing solutions using Liferay DXP.\nStrong experience with Java, Spring, REST services, and enterprise application development.\nExperience developing Liferay OSGi modules, custom portlets, services, workflows, themes, or client extensions.\nFull-stack development experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Angular.\nExperience designing and consuming APIs and integrating enterprise applications.\nExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.\nExperience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.\nExperience troubleshooting production issues and working through the full software development lifecycle.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nLiferay DXP certification or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience supporting B2B customer portals, eCommerce, order management, healthcare distribution, wholesale, or supply chain environments.\nExperience with Azure, containers, cloud-native development patterns, and application observability.\nExperience with SSO, MFA, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, or related identity and access technologies.\nExperience with accessibility, performance optimization, secure coding, and high-availability applications.\nFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and product-oriented delivery practices.\nPreferred experience with or knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, machine learning concepts, and AI-assisted software development tools.\nExperience using approved AI tools to support coding, testing, documentation, code review, or issue analysis is an asset.\nFamiliarity with AI integration concepts such as prompt design, APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, or AI agents is an asset.\nUnderstanding of responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, governance, human review, and protection of sensitive information.\nFor McKesson Canada: Employees are required to be in the office two (2) days per week, either in Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec or Mississauga, Ontario.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
