They will help design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions across Azure and on-premises platforms while driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\nThe position is well-suited for someone with a strong blend of cloud, networking, and infrastructure engineering expertise who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving platform reliability, and collaborating across architecture, operations, and security teams.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure systems to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.\nContribute to cloud and on-premises infrastructure initiatives while following enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and operational best practices.\nAssist with infrastructure project delivery by completing assigned engineering tasks, documenting work, and coordinating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.\nSupport network capacity planning activities, including monitoring trends, identifying performance constraints, and recommending optimization opportunities.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure incidents and service issues, escalating highly complex or business-critical problems when appropriate.\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts, configuration templates, and infrastructure-as-code practices to support repeatable and reliable deployments.\nParticipate in governance activities related to SLAs, OLAs, security controls, compliance requirements, and operational readiness.\nEvaluate new tools, technologies, and process improvements under the guidance of senior technical team members.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures.\nOther duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.\nMinimum Requirements\nDegree or equivalent experience and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.\nCritical Skills\n7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, network engineering, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.\nHands-on experience supporting infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.\nExperience with Azure required; exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms preferred.\nStrong understanding of network engineering concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, BGP, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.\nExperience with automation or orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Python, or similar technologies.\nWorking knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms such as Kubernetes.\nExperience monitoring infrastructure performance, supporting capacity planning, and identifying reliability or cost optimization opportunities.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and collaborate with senior engineers during major incidents or escalations.\nUnderstanding of enterprise security, compliance, change management, and governance practices.\nStrong communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Skills / Experience\nExperience in healthcare or other regulated industries.\nExperience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud networking environments.\nExposure to DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure-as-code practices.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring, observability, and incident management tools.\nAbility to influence technical discussions, partner across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.\nWork Model / Physical Requirements\nWe are Flex and Connect with 2 days a week in office.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
