This role is responsible for driving the stability, performance, governance, and continuous evolution of clinical application ecosystems that enable high-quality patient care and operational excellence.\nThe successful candidate will provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic guidance for key Radiation Oncology applications while partnering closely with clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders. This individual will play an instrumental role in ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.\nThis position requires a strong combination of healthcare application expertise, systems administration experience, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership within complex healthcare environments.\nWhat You'll Do\nPlatform Strategy & Optimization\nDrive the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Radiation Oncology applications, including MOSAIQ, ARIA, and Eclipse.\nDevelop and execute application roadmaps that support organizational goals, clinical requirements, and technology modernization initiatives.\nEvaluate opportunities to enhance platform performance, scalability, reliability, and user experience.\nApplication Delivery & Operations\nLead application lifecycle activities including implementation, configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and system optimization.\nEnsure application environments are stable, secure, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.\nOversee incident management, root cause analysis, problem resolution, and service restoration activities for mission-critical clinical systems.\nEstablish and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and support standards.\nStakeholder Partnership\nCollaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.\nTranslate complex business and clinical needs into scalable technology capabilities.\nServe as a trusted advisor for application-related initiatives, enhancements, and operational improvements.\nGovernance, Risk & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and healthcare industry best practices.\nIdentify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies that support business continuity and patient care delivery.\nSupport change management activities and maintain governance processes for application environments.\nVendor & Service Management\nPartner with vendors and third-party providers to manage support relationships, issue resolution, upgrades, and product enhancements.\nMonitor service performance and drive accountability through established operational metrics and service level objectives.\nContinuous Improvement & Leadership\nAnalyze platform performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.\nContribute to strategic planning efforts focused on application modernization, automation, and operational efficiency.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship across cross-functional teams supporting Radiation Oncology technologies.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n7+ years of experience supporting, administering, implementing, or managing enterprise healthcare applications, clinical systems, or healthcare technology platforms.\nHands-on experience supporting Radiation Oncology applications, including MOSAIQ, ARIA, and/or Eclipse.\nExperience configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting healthcare application environments.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Citrix technologies.\nExperience leading application support, implementation, systems administration, or operational improvement initiatives.\nDemonstrated success collaborating with clinical, business, vendor, and technology stakeholders.\nCritical Skills & Competencies\nTechnical Expertise\nRadiation Oncology application administration and support\nClinical systems operations and lifecycle management\nMicrosoft Windows Server environments\nMicrosoft SQL Server administration and troubleshooting\nCitrix infrastructure and virtualization technologies\nSystem monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization\nHealthcare Technology\nRadiation Oncology workflows and clinical operations\nHealthcare application integrations and interoperability\nHealthcare technology standards and regulatory compliance\nApplication security, availability, and reliability best practices\nOperational Excellence\nIncident, problem, and change management\nIT Service Management (ITSM) processes\nVendor and partner management\nGovernance, risk management, and operational controls\nContinuous improvement and service optimization\nLeadership & Communication\nCross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management\nStrategic thinking and problem-solving\nExecutive-level communication and presentation skills\nAbility to influence decisions and drive outcomes across diverse teams\nWork Model / Physical Requirements We are Flex and Connect with 2 days a week in office.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
