If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nAbout the Role\nMcKesson is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering & Analytics Intern to support operational excellence initiatives within our Pharmaceutical Distribution Operations team at the Surrey Distribution Centre.\nThis internship provides hands-on experience in supply chain analytics, warehouse operations, process improvement and operational performance. You’ll work with operational data, support continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, inventory accuracy and service levels.\nYou’ll also gain exposure to pharmaceutical distribution operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and real-world supply chain challenges in an environment where accuracy, reliability and quality are essential.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAnalyse operational performance data and help track KPIs, including productivity, service levels, quality and inventory accuracy.\nSupport continuous improvement and Lean/PDCA initiatives focused on warehouse flow, picking efficiency, inventory management and automation optimisation.\nAnalyse staffing models, shift patterns and labour utilisation to support operational efficiency and throughput.\nAnalyse inbound and outbound flows, inventory positioning and order profiles to support supply chain efficiency and customer service.\nBuild and maintain Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools to provide visibility into operational performance and trends.\nConduct root cause analysis of operational issues and support corrective action planning.\nCollaborate with Operations, Quality, Transportation and Inventory teams on business initiatives and improvement projects.\nBasic Requirements\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nExperience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools.\nExperience with SQL.\nInterest in logistics, distribution, supply chain operations and process improvement.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nData-driven approach with attention to detail and quality.\nContinuous improvement mindset.\nAbility to learn, contribute and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.\nInitiative and ability to identify problems and contribute to solutions.\nInterest in healthcare and customer service.\nTravel, In-Office & Physical Requirements\nThis is an on-site position based at the Surrey Distribution Centre.\nWork is primarily performed within an operational warehouse environment.\nThe role may require time on the warehouse floor observing and analysing processes.\nStandard business hours apply, with flexibility based on operational needs.\nNo specific travel requirements were provided.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
