You will serve as the primary point of contact for out-of-state retail logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate courier services for pharmacy deliveries. You will help keep time-sensitive pharmacy packages moving accurately and efficiently while building trusted relationships, resolving delivery issues, and communicating clearly with customer contacts and courier partners.\nThis is a highly visible, customer-facing position for someone who is dependable, flexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Up to 80% of the role involves physical warehouse work and the remaining portion will be administrative: researching, tracking, reporting, and customer communication. If you enjoy hands-on warehouse work and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience, this role offers the opportunity to do both!\nWhat You Will Do\nHands-On Warehouse and Shipping Operations\nSort packages, build shipping boxes, pack and palletize shipments, and prepare packages for daily FedEx pickup.\nLoad, move, and stage packages safely and accurately within the warehouse shipping area.\nAudit packages before courier handoff to confirm accuracy and help reduce delivery errors and re-shipments.\nMonitor shipping supplies, identify shortages, and coordinate replenishment to support uninterrupted daily operations.\nSupport production, mail, and other warehouse work areas when operational coverage is needed.\nFollow established safety practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer requirements, and company policies.\nCustomer Service and Issue Resolution\nServe as the primary onsite McKesson contact for the customer and represent the company with professionalism, urgency, and a service-first mindset.\nRespond to customer and store questions regarding shipment status, delivery concerns, and logistics needs.\nResearch tracking information and resolve late, missing, damaged, or discrepant package issues.\nCommunicate service risks, shipping concerns, and operational updates promptly to customer contacts, courier partners, account managers, and McKesson leadership.\nBuild productive working relationships with customer teams and courier partners while adapting to changing priorities and service needs.\nCourier Coordination, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement\nMonitor and coordinate courier performance across FedEx, UPS, USPS, and other applicable delivery partners.\nTrack pickups and deliveries and escalate missed pickups, delays, or recurring service issues.\nComplete required invoicing, service-level agreement (SLA), on-time delivery, and exception reports accurately and on schedule.\nUse Microsoft Excel and carrier websites or shipping applications to download reports, research shipments, and document findings.\nAssist with investigations of lost or missing packages and coordinate return-to-sender packaging supplies.\nRecommend practical updates to SOPs and courier methods of procedure (MOPs) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.\nWhat Will Help You Succeed\nCustomer-first mindset: You communicate professionally, listen carefully, and follow through on commitments.\nHands-on work ethic: You are willing and able to spend most of the day sorting, packing, building boxes, palletizing, standing, walking, bending, and lifting.\nOwnership and reliability: You are comfortable serving as the onsite McKesson representative and working independently with remote leadership and peer support.\nAdaptability: You remain positive and responsive when priorities, shipment volumes, or customer needs change.\nProblem solving: You can investigate an issue, determine an appropriate course of action, and communicate the resolution clearly.\nAttention to detail: You understand that package accuracy, documentation, and timely escalation are essential in pharmacy logistics.\nMinimum Requirements\nTypically requires 3+ years of customer-facing experience, with demonstrated experience communicating directly with customers and resolving service or delivery issues.\nAbility and willingness to perform physical warehouse duties for approximately 80% of the workday.\nAbility to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds and to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, pack, and palletize.\nBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, carrier websites, email, and web-based shipping or tracking systems.\nAbility to work the required onsite schedule, including Saturdays.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with or for FedEx, or another shipping or courier provider.\nWarehouse, distribution, fulfillment, package handling, pharmacy logistics, or retail operations experience.\nExperience using Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, or basic data review.\nExperience with GlobalShip or a comparable shipping management application.\nExperience monitoring service-level agreements, delivery performance, or shipment exceptions.\nExperience improving work instructions, SOPs, or shipping processes.\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\n100% onsite at the customer location; this role is not remote or hybrid.\nWork is performed primarily in a warehouse and production environment, with some time in an office area.\nRegular walking and standing, with frequent bending, reaching, packing, box building, palletizing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.\nMust be able to safely perform essential warehouse and shipping responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.\nSchedule and Compensation\nRequired schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Regular days off are Friday and Sunday.\nThe expected compensation for this role is $24.00 per hour.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
