If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Workday Platform Integration Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and support integrations across the Workday ecosystem and connected enterprise applications.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Workday integration technologies, APIs, enterprise security, monitoring, and production support. In addition to core integration responsibilities, this role serves as the primary technical point of contact for SOX-related activities involving Workday integrations, supporting governance, audit readiness, compliance requirements, and operational controls.\nThe successful candidate combines strong technical expertise with a controls-oriented mindset, ensuring integrations are reliable, secure, well documented, appropriately governed, and audit ready.\nKey Responsibilities\nWorkday Integration\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support integrations between Workday and internal and external applications.\nDevelop solutions utilizing Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, RaaS, Workday Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, and related Workday integration technologies.\nDevelop and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, and data transformations required to support integration requirements.\nTroubleshoot integration failures, authentication issues, data discrepancies, and scheduled-job failures.\nMonitor production integrations and coordinate timely resolution of issues.\nParticipate in Workday releases, regression testing, integration testing, and production deployments.\nMaintain technical documentation, integration inventories, support procedures, and detailed data mappings.\nPartner with business, security, IAM, infrastructure, and third-party vendor teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.\nIntegration Security & Governance\nEnsure integrations comply with enterprise architecture, security, development, and change management standards.\nSupport governance of Integration System Users (ISUs), Integration Security Groups, service accounts, credentials, certificates, and authentication mechanisms.\nApply secure integration patterns, including OAuth 2.0 and API-based authentication.\nParticipate in security reviews and technical assessments.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify integrations, improve monitoring, and reduce technical debt.\nSOX & Integration Controls\nServe as the primary integration-team contact for SOX-related activities and controls.\nPartner with Internal Controls, Audit, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure effective governance and policy adherence.\nMaintain documentation and inventory of SOX-relevant integrations, service accounts, scheduled jobs, and supporting controls.\nSupport monitoring, exception management, and remediation activities.\nEnsure development, testing, approval, and deployment processes comply with applicable SOX requirements.\nSupport periodic access reviews, privileged access reviews, and production change reviews.\nIdentify and help remediate integration-related control gaps.\nAudit & Compliance Support\nCoordinate responses to Internal Audit, External Audit, Internal Controls, Information Security, and Compliance stakeholders.\nParticipate in walkthroughs and explain integration architecture, monitoring, security controls, and change management processes.\nCollect and maintain audit evidence supporting control testing activities.\nMaintain traceability between controls and supporting approvals, testing results, deployment records, incidents, and system reports.\nSupport remediation efforts related to audit observations and control deficiencies.\nPromote sustainable, year-round audit readiness practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 4 years of Workday experience.\nMinimum 3 years of Workday integration development experience.\nHands-on experience with:Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)\nCore Connectors\nREST APIs\nSOAP APIs\nXML/XSLT\n\nExperience integrating Workday with Payroll, Finance, Identity Management, and external vendor systems.\nFull Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.\nExperience supporting governance, controls, audit activities, or SOX-related processes.\nUnderstanding of privileged access controls, change management controls, and audit requirements.\nExperience supporting audit responses, evidence collection, or governance reviews.\nStrong troubleshooting and production support experience.\nExperience creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation.\nStrong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.\nGovernance & Controls Experience\nWorking knowledge of SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs) or equivalent governance frameworks.\nUnderstanding of:Privileged access controls\nService account governance\nChange management\nTesting and deployment controls\nMonitoring and exception management\nAudit evidence collection and traceability\n\nExperience supporting audit walkthroughs, evidence requests, remediation activities, or control testing.\nAbility to communicate technical controls to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nDirect SOX experience is preferred; candidates with less than one year of direct SOX experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong governance, compliance, controls, or audit support experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorkday Studio experience.\nWorkday Integration Certification.\nExperience supporting Workday within large or regulated enterprise environments.\nExperience working directly with internal or external auditors.\nFamiliarity with IAM, privileged access management, ITSM, and middleware platforms.\nExperience with OAuth 2.0, certificates, SSO, API security, and enterprise authentication models.\nExperience improving, automating, or strengthening compliance and control processes.\nRole Objective\nDesign and operate secure, reliable, scalable Workday integrations while ensuring SOX-relevant integrations, service accounts, scheduled jobs, and production changes are appropriately governed, monitored, documented, and maintained with audit-ready evidence.\nWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
