In this role, you'll serve as a frontline defender against cyber threats, helping protect critical business systems, data, and operations across the enterprise. You'll play a key role in the detection, investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.\nBenefits you can count on:\nDay 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance.\nPaid time off begins day one.\n401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.\nAdditional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more!\nWhat You’ll Do\nMonitor security alerts and events from SIEM platforms and other cybersecurity tools to identify suspicious activity. \nInvestigate and triage security alerts to determine risk, impact, and appropriate response actions. \nAssist with the containment, eradication, and recovery of cybersecurity incidents. \nDocument investigations, response actions, and incident findings while contributing to post-incident reports and lessons learned. \nSupport threat hunting activities and proactive security assessments to identify emerging risks. \nPartner with IT Infrastructure, Networking, Application, and Business teams to investigate and resolve security incidents. \nParticipate in incident response activities, tabletop exercises, and security simulations. \nLeverage threat intelligence, vulnerability information, and security research to improve detection and response capabilities. \nHelp maintain and improve incident response procedures, playbooks, and operational documentation. \nMonitor emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices. \nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cybersecurity operations and organizational resilience. \nUtilize approved AI-powered tools, including Microsoft Copilot and other emerging technologies, to support research, analysis, documentation, and operational efficiency while adhering to cybersecurity governance standards.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. \nTwo (2) or more years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT operations, or a related technical field. \nFoundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, security operations, and incident response processes. \nExperience working with security monitoring tools, logging platforms, or SIEM technologies. \nKnowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, and common cybersecurity threats. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to prioritize and respond to security events in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.\nThis position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
