We are currently looking for looking for a Yard Driver/Forklift Operator to join our team.\nThe Yard Driver helps the company organize, move, and transfer trailers and containers between all Houston locations.\nStage containers in doors throughout the day\nMove trailers between locations when needed\nGive up to date information of all containers and trailers in the yard at designated times\nTell inbound/outbound drivers where to park in the yard while they wait for a door\nForklift Operator transports pallets from the warehouse dock onto the trailer/container as directed by the paperwork assigned while confirming moves with an RF scanner.\nAbility to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment. \nAbility to read, write and communicate in English (to read pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions) \nAbility to work independently or within a team environment. \nMust adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. \nAbility to detect warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations. \nPerforms functions of Loader, Unloader, Full Pallet Pick, Case Pick, Putaways etc. \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nRequirements\nMinimum experience of 5 years CDL driving\nCDL A, valid driver's license with a clean record, \nAbility to work with specialized mechanical and basic hand tools. \nAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and written. \nAbility to perform basic mathematical computations. \nAbility to pass background check, drug screen\nBenefits\nCompetitive base compensation \nFull Benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision effective on the first day of employment \n401(k) with Employer Match (quarterly enrollment)\nPaid Holidays (no waiting period to receive holiday pay)\nPaid vacation, personal, and sick days effective on first day of employment\nOTHER\nAll offers are contingent upon passing a background check and drug screening \nNo company visa sponsorships \nNo phone call or walk in inquiries for this position, apply online to be considered \nDISCLAIMER\nEmployees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and if requested, reasonable accommodation will be provided to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.\nFurthermore, job descriptions typically change over time as requirements and employee skill levels change.
