The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.\n Overview: Directly supervises, coordinates, and plans production for operations in Melting, Casting, and Finishing operations in a foundry producing ductile iron pipe for the waterworks industry. Drives company mission and communicates goals and expectations while overseeing assigned team. Identifies gaps in developmental needs and provides the guidance and support required for both staff and the organization to be successful.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.\nObserves and enforces all Safety, Environmental, and Plant policies and procedures.\nSchedules, coordinates, and oversees the daily activities of production workers.\nTrains, develops, and mentors employees.\nMotivates and encourages teamwork with direct reports to ensure production objectives are met.\nAdvises and counsels production workers on how to improve their performance and provides input on performance appraisals, training needs and disciplinary actions.\nCommunicate and coordinate with other departments to achieve assigned objectives.\nFosters a culture of continuous improvement.\nHolds self and others accountable to commitments.\nEnsures proper quality standards are maintained on products being produced.\nDetermines work procedures, recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.\nKeeps manager informed of problems as they arise.\n Qualifications/Education/Experience:\nMust be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n3-5 years leadership experience in heavy industry (foundry experience preferred)\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
