In this role, you will experience comprehensive and challenging training across various departments, enabling you to gain a well-rounded understanding of our company's operations, relationships, and processes. This role is dedicated to integrating safety, environmental, quality, and human resources principles into all facets of our production operations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: This full-time, on-site position involves a minimum of 40 hours per week and includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:\nAbide by all safety processes and procedures, promptly reporting any deviations to management.\nEvaluate and supervise the performance and progress of team members.\nCollaborate with managers to plan organizational work output.\nAssist Managers and Supervisors in daily tasks and performance evaluations.\nFulfill managerial or supervisory responsibilities as assigned, in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.\nContribute to the development and implementation of policies, performance goals, and objectives.\nAnalyze company reports to assess inventory activity, gross profit, and sales.\nIdentify trends and develop recommendations based on gathered information.\nCollaborate with contractors and clients.\nObserve and train with experienced staff to learn department-specific standards, procedures, and methods.\nAcquire knowledge about various functions and operations throughout the organization.\nParticipate in the company's strategic planning initiatives.\nConduct research to find opportunities for increased profitability and risk reduction.\nPrepare and deliver presentations.\nFunctional Components: The role involves active participation in the following functional components:\nSupervision: Lead team member activities related to production, including technology, methods, procedures, and performance appraisals.\nFinancial Accounting and Reporting: Calculate standards, scrap, critical metrics, and budgets, and review production costs and product quality.\nManagement Responsibilities: Gain an understanding of various management areas, including Production Control, Accounting, Quality Control, Engineering, Environmental, Safety, and Human Resources.\nCoordination of Department Activities: Balance production activities with procurement, maintenance, production planning, safety, and quality control to optimize resource utilization.\nReview and Analyze Reporting Data: Identify causes of non-conformity with production specifications and operational issues.\nTransparent/Candid Communications: Cultivate effective communication with stakeholders and implement procedures to resolve operational problems and enhance product quality.\nPlant Policies/Work Rules/Safety Compliance/Union Contract: Understand and evaluate these elements when making decisions.\nRemove Production Constraints: Allocate resources and direct production employees to achieve established goals, while improving process efficiency and productivity.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.\nEquivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.\nThree (3) years of related on-the-job experience is preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Activities: This role requires various skills, abilities, and work activities, including but not limited to:\nTime management\nActive listening\nComplex problem-solving\nCritical thinking\nJudgment and decision making\nSupervising\nSpeaking and oral expression\nWriting and written expression\nProblem sensitivity\nDeductive and reasoning\nPhysical activities involving the use of arms and legs, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials.\nAdherence to safety and security procedures, including the use of protective equipment.\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
