The McWane Way Compass includes eight core principles to guide our team members: Communication, Safety, Environment, Leadership, Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Teamwork.\n Responsibilities\nThe X-Ray Technician will be performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests (NDT), and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable ASME codes, standards, and specifications. Level II Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance. The facility is equipped with CR X-Ray equipment.\nReads prints and locates piece parts.\n\nSets up operational parameters on the welding machine and monitor. Make corrections as needed.\n\nCompletes first article inspection before starting run.\n\nMonitor the product quality using required gages and inspection criteria.\n\nConduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.\n\nEstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.\n\nApply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.\n\nInterpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.\n\nOrganize and report test results.\n\nOperation of lifting devices as needed.\n\nLooks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.\n\nFollows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.\n\nRead, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.\n\nReport any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.\n\nShut down process if unsafe.\n\nFollow proper machine shutdown procedures.\n\nRegular, dependable attendance and punctuality.\n\n Qualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n1. Must be dependable and self-motivated.\n2. Must possess good communication skills.\n3. Be able to contribute to and support the existence of a positive work environment.\n4.
