The position also supports ERP optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts designed to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability while serving as a trusted resource within the Accounting team.\n Senior Accountant\nLocation: Tyler, TX\nPay: $85,000 to $92,000 annually depending on experience\nSchedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM\nOvertime: Expected as required to meet business needs\nOn-site: 100%\nWhat You’ll Do\nResponsibilities:\nManage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.\nMaintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.\nAnalyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying unusual trends, investigating variances, and recommending corrective actions.\nPrepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support operational and business decision-making.\nSupport internal controls, corporate accounting policies, regulatory compliance requirements, and internal/external audit activities.\nProvide accounting support for inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, manufacturing operations, and related financial activities.\nServe as a key user for ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, supporting system enhancements, implementations, testing, and process improvements.\nLead or support finance projects focused on automation, process optimization, standardization, and paperless workflow initiatives that improve efficiency and data accuracy.\nDevelop and maintain financial analyses, reports, and models utilizing advanced Excel and reporting tools.\nCollaborate with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and other business functions to support accounting accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives.\nNote: This job description outlines key responsibilities and is not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned by the Assistant Controller, Controller, or Plant Leadership as needed\n Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA-track preferred.\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment.\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control principles.\nDemonstrated experience managing month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.\nStrong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow concepts with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve financial discrepancies.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) strongly preferred.
