Leveraging the capabilities of our engineering IT organization, you will build standardized build, test, and deployment environments for our software teams incorporating automation to achieve continuous integration, code standards compliance, requirements/test traceability and more!\nJob Responsibilities:\nCreate standardized development environments for projects integrating:Build tools (e.g. CMake, Bazel, Pants, etc.)\nAutomated testing tools and frameworks for multiple languages and levels of testing (e.g. dotnet-coverage, Selenium, Cucumber, Google Test, etc.)\nAutomated linting/formatting tools (e.g. Clang-tidy, Clang-format, etc.)\nRequirements definition/tracking tools (e.g. PTC ILM, DOORS, Jira, etc.)\nTest reporting to PTC ILM\nCode metrics and reporting tools (e.g. SonarQube)\nContinuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)\nArtifact Repositories (e.g. Nexus, Artifactory, etc.)\nMonitoring Tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)\nContainerization of Linux/Windows applications (Docker)\n\nSupport software development teams to improve/standardize their build and test environments.\nCollaborate with other senior engineers and management on establishment, evolution, and enforcement of standards for coding, tools/environments, processes, etc.\nOther duties as will be assigned from time to time by management.\nJob Required Skills/Experience\nProven ability/experience implementing/maintaining build systems.Robustness/dependability\nSpeed\nReproducibility\nCross-compiling to embedded/RTOS platforms.\n\nProven ability/experience implementing/maintaining software development automation.Continuous integration\nRequirements traceability\nSoftware metrics (code coverage, etc.)\nContinuous delivery/deployment\n\nStrong scripting skills in relevant languages such as Python\nBachelor’s degree in software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science\n5+ years of relevant experience\nStrong written/verbal communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills.\nHighly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker\nInterested in finding scalable, long-term solutions which can be used across multiple programs\nBeneficial Skills/Experience\nDeploying and maintaining Kubernetes environments\nC/C++, C#, Javascript, Angular\nTest driven development (TDD, ATDD, BDD)\nEmbedded/RTOS development - VxWorks, RTX64, etc.\nWeb development\nRobotic arm control\nCommunications interfaces (TCP/IP, PCI, 1553, I2C, RS232, RS422, EtherCat, CANOpen, etc.)\nFamiliar with Agile or SAFe practices\nSpecial Considerations:\nSuccessful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.\nBenefits Statement:\nMDA Space offers competitive compensation and benefits to its employees at all of its locations.
