The Team Lead is also in charge of the planning and coordination of the delivery of his team’s work packages within schedule and budget.\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with a multidisciplinary (Systems, Digital, RF) team on the architecture and design of software related to the delivery of a satellite\nInteract with customers and participate to new project proposals\nImplement embedded software\nDesign software architectures\nRedact the documentation required during the software life cycle\nWork within an agile development team as a technical leader\nRefine software requirements\nSupport flight code integration and testing within flight units\nSupport software process automation\nAct as subcontract manager when development work is executed by an external third party\nConduct one on ones with team members and help with their personal and technical development\nReport progress status to program manager\nRequirements\nElectrical or Computer Engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent\nMinimum of 10 years of embedded software development experience\nExperience with leading agile software development teams\nStrong skills in C++ (essential), C and Python\nExperience with bring-up, debug and testing of hardware prototypes\nExperience with low-level drivers\nExperience working with complex SoCs\nExperience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)\nStrong experience with version control systems such as GIT\nExperience with Jira\nVery good communication and Strong interpersonal skills\nDisciplined and resourceful\nNice to have\nKnowledge of satellite communication standards such as DVB-S2X\nExperience with RF systems\nKnowledge of CCSDS, MIL-STD-1553\nKnowledge of protocols such as CAN bus and SpaceWire\nExperience with Visual Studio or Eclipse\nExperience with Confluence\nExperience in disciplined software development\nFluent in French & English (Contact with customers outside Quebec). \n#LI-DM1 #IND1 #SP\nSpecial Considerations:\nSuccessful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.\nBenefits statement:\nMDA provides competitive compensation and benefits packages for its employees at all locations.
