For those who dream big and push boundaries on the ground and in the stars to change the world for the better, we’ll take you there.\nThe Position:\nWe’re on the hunt for a Full Stack Developer on our Robotics & Space Operations team at our Brampton office.\nAs our Full Stack Developer you will be instrumental in using your skill and experience as part of a team to design, implement, maintain, and test software solutions that are modular, extendable, testable, and efficient. You will work on web-based ground control software, simulators, and test tools to support control of robotic arms, rovers, and other robotics in space. You will lead difficult and complicated subsystem designs and implementations helping to grow the skills of more junior teammates through mentoring and coaching.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAs part of a team:\nLead designs and development for ground control software, simulators, and test tools for robotic systems in space\nEnsure designs are documented and well communicated\nLead and participate in implementation and testing of software solutions\nReview the work of teammates (senior and junior)\nMentor and grow the skills of more junior team members via conversations, review of work products, explanation of design trade-offs, etc.\nLead estimation efforts for new tasks\nCollaborate with other seniors and management on the establishment, evolution, and enforcement of standards for coding, tools/environments, processes, etc.\nOther duties as will be assigned from time to time by management or a team lead\nRequired Skills/Experience:\nProven ability to design and implement software solutions on Windows or Linux\nFrontend development\nStrong knowledge and experience with:\no JavaScript\no Angular (must have)\no ReactJS (used in storybook)\no C# ASP.NET Core\no CSS\no HTML\no .Net Technologies\no UX Design\n\nExperience working with and designing for relational and nonrelational data leveraging: o SQL (MSSQL, Postgres) Entity Framework, LINQ o NoSQL (Mongo, Couchbase) o Cache technologies (Redis) o ETL\nAutomated testing\nAgile development environment\nStrong written/verbal communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nBachelor’s degree in software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science\n10+ years of relevant experience\nHighly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker\nBeneficial Skills/Experience:\nTest driven development (TDD, ATDD, BDD)\nExperience with the following tools: o SignalR o Playwright, NUnit\nContinuous integration/build automation\nPython and Lua would be an asset\nSpecial Considerations:\nSuccessful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the Reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and be able to obtain higher clearances.\nBenefits Statement:\nMDA Space offers competitive compensation and benefits to its employees at all of its locations.
