As a trusted advisor to our business leaders, you will leverage your exceptional relationship-building, strategic thinking and results-orientation skills to drive business outcomes and deliver tailored people solutions that enable our organization to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment. In this critical role, you will partner closely with senior leadership, and business area HR teams to navigate complex people-related challenges, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and drive strategic initiatives that propel our business forward.\nJob Responsibilities:\nProvide strategic HR support to multiple client groups/functions, to drive business outcomes and achieve organizational objectives. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with business priorities, support the growth and development of the organization and enhance employee engagement and retention \nCollaborate and work proactively with business leaders to identify key talent issues impacting business goals, and offer strategic solutions, including identifying and retaining top talent \nProvide expert guidance and assistance to managers on a wide range of human resource issues, including employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and compensation management, employee retention and engagement, workplace accommodations, and employment legislation, HR policies and people programs \nPartner with leaders to design and implement organizational structures, processes, and systems that support business objectives and drive efficiency and effectiveness \nDevelop and implement organizational design plans to support business objectives \nDesign and implement cultural transformation and change management initiatives to support business objectives and drive employee engagement and retention \nIdentify and implement process improvements and operational excellence initiatives \nDevelop and execute integration plans for mergers and acquisitions to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives \nCollaborate closely with MDA’s HR COE team to design and implement new initiatives, process implementation and leverage team expertise in planning and delivering functional initiatives to respective client group \nManage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with the ability to shift between strategic, operational, and tactical levels \nCommunicate, facilitate, and/or present talent programs and rollouts at the business area level \nActively participate in HR enterprise initiatives, such as development of new human resources talent programs for the organization as a whole \nLead change management initiatives to support business transformation, including communicating, training and monitoring changes and providing coaching to leaders \nAnalyze HR data and metrics to inform business decisions, identify trends, and measure the impact of HR initiatives \nManage through ambiguity, uncertainty, and changing priorities, while maintaining a solution-oriented approach \nProvide responsive and timely support to business leaders and employees, ensuring that HR services are delivered in a timely and effective manner \nStaying up to date with industry trends and best practices \nCollaborating with other HR functions to ensure integrated HR services \nDiversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and inclusivity \nWorkforce planning and talent management strategies to drive business growth and innovation, such as critical talent planning and succession \nProvide coaching and guidance to senior executives on HR-related matters, including talent management, organizational design, and change management \nDevelop and maintain relationships with external partners, including consultants, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends \nSharing best practices and knowledge across HR teams to drive consistency and excellence in HR service delivery \nDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with HR leaders and teams across the organization to drive collaboration and alignment \nCandidate Profile:\nA seasoned human resource professional with 10+ years of related business partnering experience, with a focus on strategic HR leadership and senior-level project management \nExperience supporting executive leadership within a high-tech manufacturing industry is an asset \nCompletion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, CHRL certification or equivalent. MBA an asset \nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust with business leaders, HR peers and employees \nExperience with transformation and change management, including developing and implementing change management plans, communicating changes to employees, and providing coaching to leaders \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR data and metrics to inform business decisions \nStrong business acumen, with the ability to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support them \nExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously \nProficient in using HR Analytics to make informed decisions and be able to measure impact (proficient in MS Office tools) \nStrong understanding of applicable employment and human rights legislation in BC\nProven skills in coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, risk management, and relationship management \nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality \nEffective and persuasive oral and written communication and presentation skills \nCommitment to fostering an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives \nAbility to travel 15-20% of time \nBilingual - asset\nWhat We Offer:\nWe’re a dream team of purpose-driven, collaborative and passionate people, and we are constantly looking for others to join #TeamMDA to ignite new and innovative approaches to problem-solving that push us forward to improve life on and above Earth.
