Under the supervision of more experienced technicians or technical staff/engineers, perform various tasks related to established methods and processes. Work according to written instructions or general guidelines on equipment and systems of moderate to high complexity. Advise, guide, and train less experienced employees.\nTasks:\nAssemble or modify test models and experimental setups based on instructions from senior technical staff.\nReview technical drawings and may suggest improvements.\nBuild special setups under the direction of senior technicians or technical staff.\nResearch, recommend, and obtain parts or components for tests and test setups.\nRecord data related to test or experiment results and prepare reports.\nPerform supervised tasks, including the installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of devices, subsystems, and systems.\nParticipate, as needed, in the development of various test plans and procedures.\nAdvise, guide, and train less experienced employees.\nParticipate in preparing time and cost estimates while improving departmental productivity.\nParticipate in the programming and commissioning of automated equipment sequences using the software provided.\nPerform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.\nPerform other related duties.\nMechanical Technician:\nPerform tasks related to MGSE support.\nMachinist:\nEstimate the time required to produce a part (programming and machining).\nDemonstrate versatility by being able to operate multiple types of machines.\nProgram machining sequences using the software provided.Alignment:\n\nPerform alignment or adjustment using high-precision equipment on subassemblies, flight assemblies, or tooling sets according to theoretical values or guidelines provided by Engineering.\nPerform testing, troubleshooting, and alignment of devices, subsystems, and systems.\nCalibrate and/or characterize various tooling and/or flight components as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nPossesses the knowledge and relevant experience required for the assignment.\nEducation: DEC or equivalent in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or a related field, depending on the assignment.\nExperience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.\nLanguage proficiency: Fluent in spoken and written French.\nKnowledge of English is an asset.\nAdditional qualifications depending on the assignment:\nMachinist:\nIn-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM software.\nIn-depth knowledge of G-code CNC programming.\nGood knowledge of metrology.Alignment:\n\nGood knowledge of CAD software.\nIn-depth knowledge of Space Analyzer.\nIn-depth knowledge of metrology.\nComments/Special Considerations:\nSuccessful candidates must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the reliability level and pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).\nWe are a dream team of passionate, collaborative, and determined individuals, and we are constantly looking for others to join #TeamMDA to foster new and innovative approaches to problem-solving that drive us to improve life on and above Earth.
