Will you join us?\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Admin Officer (Front Desk)\n\nLocation: Opposite Fire Service Station, Umuahia - Abia\n\nJob type: Full-time (Onsite)\n\nDepartment: Clinic Operations\n\nReports to: Center Manager\n\nRole Objective\n\nThe Front Desk Officer is the first person a patient meets at a BeaconHealth clinic. You will handle enquiries from patients and referring clinicians, guide patients through their visit, capture their information accurately, and follow up afterwards.\nThe role sits at the point where patient experience and data quality meet, which is what makes it one of the most important jobs in the clinic. Booking and patient records run through BeaconOS, our own platform, which you will be trained on during onboarding.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReporting to the Center Manager, responsibilities include:\n\nHandling enquiries:\n\nEstablish quickly why someone is calling and how best to help them\nAnswer phone and in-person enquiries from patients, family members, and referring clinicians courteously\nConnect callers with the Center Manager where a request falls outside the front desk remit\n\nGuiding patients through their visit:\n\nCollect the referral form and pass relevant patient and procedure details to the Front Desk/Billing Officer\nEstablish which procedures they need or which partner facility referred them\nDirect patients to the waiting area and notify the relevant department that a patient is waiting\nCollect printed results and hand them to the patient in a clean envelope\nWelcome every patient warmly and greet them in the language they are most comfortable with\nPass the referral form to the relevant department once booking is confirmed\n\nCapturing patient information:\n\nBook patients for their procedures and maintain accurate records of bookings\nUpdate visit details as soon as further information becomes available\nDocument every patient visit accurately in BeaconOS\n\nFeedback and follow-up:\n\nAsk patients for feedback on how we can improve\nCommunicate any patient issue to the relevant department and escalate concerns to the Center Manager\nSupport bi-annual patient surveys\n\nRequirements\n\nComputer literate and comfortable working in a digital record system — we train every new hire on BeaconOS, our own clinical platform, during onboarding\nOND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in any discipline\nMinimum of 1 year's experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role\nAble to stay composed and courteous during busy periods\nExcellent spoken communication and a genuinely warm manner with patients\nAccurate data entry and attention to detail\n\nPreferred\n\nFluency in the local language spoken by patients at this clinic\nExperience in a healthcare, clinic, or hospital front desk
