Job Description:

Meade is growing and seeking experienced professionals across multiple career levels to join our team. We anticipate hiring several individuals for this position and welcome applicants from anywhere within the United States. Candidates will be considered for the level that best aligns with their experience, skills, and qualifications.

Meade is seeking VDC Coordinators who will be responsible for supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the project lifecycle. WorkingundertheguidanceofVDCleadership,thispositionassistswithmodeldevelopment,clashdetection,coordinationactivities,andprojectdocumentationtoimproveprojectvisualization,collaboration,andconstructability.

VDC Coordinators serveasaliaisonbetweendesignteams,projectteams,andfieldoperations,helpingensuremodelaccuracyandreducingpotentialconstructionconflictsthroughproactivecoordinationandqualitycontrol.

Job Duties:

  • Collaboratewithprojectmanagers,engineers,designers,andfieldteamstosupportVDCandBIMprojectobjectives.

  • Develop,update,andmaintainaccurate3Dmodelsinaccordancewithprojectrequirementsandcompanystandards.

  • Assistwithmodelcoordinationactivities,includingmodelreviews,clashdetection,issuetracking,andresolutionsupport.

  • UtilizeBIMandotherdigitalconstructiontechnologiestoimproveprojectvisualization,communication,andcollaboration.

  • Supportthecreationandmaintenanceofproject-specificBIMdocumentation,workflows,andcoordinationdeliverables.

  • AssistwiththepreparationandmanagementoffederatedmodelsandcoordinationfilesinNavisworksandotherVDCplatforms.

  • Performmodelqualitycontrolreviewstoensurecompliancewithcompanystandards,projectrequirements,andclientexpectations.

  • TroubleshootbasicRevitandNavisworksissuesandescalatemorecomplextechnicalchallengesasneeded.

  • Supportprojectteamswithmodel-basedconstructioncoordination,constructabilityreviews,andfieldimplementationefforts.

  • AssistwithtrainingandknowledgesharingrelatedtoBIMstandards,softwaretools,andprojectworkflows.

  • Staycurrentonindustrytrends,emergingtechnologies,andbestpracticesinVDCandBIM.

  • ContributetocontinuousimprovementinitiativesthatenhanceVDCprocesses,workflows,andprojectdelivery.

Lead Roles:

  • ServeastheprimaryBIM/VDCpointperson,managingVDCsupportformultipleprojectsandleadingVDCteams.

  • Develop,implement,andmaintainproject-specificBIMExecutionPlans(BEPs)inaccordancewithcompanystandards.

  • Createandmanagefederatedmodels,ensuringcontentfromalldisciplinesisintegratedandcoordinationissuesareidentified,tracked,andresolved.

  • Leadclashdetectionmeetings,facilitateinternalandexternalcoordinationreviews,andensurealignmentwithdesignintentandprojectgoals.

  • ProvideadvancedtechnicalsupportandtroubleshootingforRevitandNavisworks,includingmodelperformance,worksharing,familymanagement,linkedmodels,andcoordinationworkflows.

  • Overseemodelmaintenance,qualitycontrol,andadherencetocompanyBIMstandardsacrossprojects.

  • CreateandcustomizeRevitschedules,includingfilters,sortingandgrouping,calculatedvalues,formatting,andproject-specificreportingrequirements.

  • Train,mentor,anddevelopModelers,Drafters,andjuniorVDCstaffinRevit,Navisworks,coordinationworkflows,andBIMbestpractices.

  • Supportfieldlayout,constructabilityreviews,andmultidisciplinarycoordinationeffortsthroughoutprojectexecution.Preparemeetingminutes,trackcoordinationissues,andmanageBIM-relatedRFIsandactionitems.

  • ManageVDC-relatedprojectscope,schedules,andbudgets.

  • Overseemultiplecomplexprojectsorlargeprojectportfoliossimultaneously.

  • EvaluateVDCprocesses,identifyopportunitiesforimprovement,andimplementtechnologies,workflows,andstandardsthatenhanceprojectdelivery.

  • ContributetothedevelopmentandimplementationofregionalandnationalVDCstandards,processes,andstrategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, design technology, construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, including creating and modifying models, views, sheets, families, and project documentation.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks for model review, coordination, and clash detection.
  • Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination processes.
  • Ability to identify and resolve basic modeling and coordination issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, software platforms, and VDC best practices.

Lead Minimum Qualifications: (includes all of the above plus the below)

  • 4+ years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, design technology, construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • AdvancedproficiencyinRevit,Navisworks,AutoCAD,andotherrelevantVDC/BIMsoftware.

  • DemonstratedexperienceperformingBIMcoordination,modelintegration,clashdetection,andmultidisciplinarycoordinationworkflows.

  • ProvenabilitytotroubleshootandresolveadvancedRevitandNavisworksissues,includingmodelerrors,worksharingconflicts,familymanagement,linkedmodels,andsoftwareperformancechallenges.

  • ExperiencecreatingandcustomizingRevitschedules,includingfilters,sortingandgrouping,calculatedvalues,formatting,andproject-specificreportingrequirements.

  • Experiencetraining,mentoring,andsupportingjuniorstaffinRevit,Navisworks,BIMworkflows,andindustrybestpractices.

  • Strongunderstandingofconstructionmeansandmethods,MEPsystems,andBIM/VDCprocessesthroughouttheprojectlifecycle.

  • Excellentorganizational,projectmanagement,communication,andcollaborationskills.

  • Familiaritywithapplicableconstructioncodes,standards,andregulations.

  • Abilitytomanagemultiplepriorities,projects,andstakeholdersinafast-pacedenvironment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may vary based on location and applicable laws. The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.

The estimate pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Level I: $60,000-$78,000
  • Level II: $84,500-$112,000
  • Lead: $99,700-$127,700

Eligible employees may participate in Meade-sponsored benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and other company-sponsored benefits.
